Located in a former historic drug store, the Elk is an outstanding, friendly place to have a meal or a drink a beer. There's an eclectic menu that's a cut above your average brew-pub fare and, during the summer months, there's outside seating in the heart of a historic neighborhood.

Wonderful surprise to find this cozy neighborhood restaurant. This is not a greasy spoon. The menu has flavorful infusions of local flavors. Worth the trip!

So good just check out diners, drive in and dives to see why. It's very hipster. Kinda a hole in the wall, but really good food and beer.

When this place first opened it was the best place in Spokane for eats and beers, now it's just a pricey "chain type" restaurant with ridiculous priced "specials" like a 16.00 Hamburger (WHAT?) and 6.00 a pint beer. What a shame we made our last visit this month.

This is a great place to grab a bite in Spokane. It is a little tough to find and parking is sometimes a challenge, but it is worth it. We love the sister restaurants in Coeur d'Alene (Moontime) and Hayden (The Porch). The menus are similar and the food always great. Service on drinks was a little slow even during... More

We ended up here after trying to go to a new restaurant in town that had NOTHING for a 6 year old. Elk had a decent kids menu and their regular menu had lots of options for the rest of us. They have many good choices of beer on tap and a good cider too. Marcus was attentive without being... More

Dropped off at the Elk Public House on our way back from the coast. It's your average new age restaurant, relaxed, themed, and bouncy. Not a bad selection of higher end good, but prices to match. My gumbo had none of the advertised shrimp, but other than that was very good. My wife's lamb sandwich was tasty. Only note was... More

A great time at the Elk earlier this month - cider was great and priced just right! Service was perfect, not too intrusive and made time for us.

Rustic atmosphere coupled with a great menu. Beers on tap represent some of the Pacific Northwest's best breweries. Wait staff will be efficient and friendly. We've tried all the menu items over time and have never been disappointed! Whatever you order get a cup of gumbo...about as authentc as you'll find anywhere!

Grabbed a quick lunch, very nice place, super friendly staff, clean, not noisy and most important, the food. The Ruben came recommended and did not disappoint! I look forward only next trip to Spokane to visiting the Elk again.
