We went for lunch and although their menu is extensive, we opted for the lunch buffet. The number of items on the buffet are a little limited, but still delicious (two members of our party went back for seconds!). The service was excellent, too.

Been here many times over the years for the lunch buffet , years ago we paid $6.95 now its $16.95. Not as many items as before, not worth the price, I would be o.k. if it was around $10-$12 range.Only two other people in restaurant...at 1:15 PM ,what does that say? Food was good .More
I have had nothing but good experiences here. The food is simply delicious. I tried their chicken tikka masala on my last visit, and it was BOMB. Please support Taste of India through this difficult time. We need them to stay open!!
Indian feast after shopping. Flavors are what we like and crave, and service was great as usual. We got the youngest to try a new dish (Butter Chicken), knowing full well she would love it. I felt like splurging and ordered their Mixed Grill for...the first time. While it was a bit unusual to see all the meats basted in the same sauce, the sauce was delicious and had a wicked bite to it. That alone made sure none of my tenderfoots would share it with me. I tried to share, but when they heard me yip 'Wooo!' they knew they were outta luck. We love this joint and have been coming for decades. That will continue...More
I really like the food here, it is satisfying and helps with the craving for something not on everyday menus. If you have eaten food from the subcontinent of India before, then walking in the door will tell you that you are in the right...place for satisfying that yen for spicy. I had fully intended to order from the menu since I had eaten here before, but the first glance at the buffet changed that idea. The lamb Biryani was so delicious, accompanied by the garlic naan and the crispy puppadums, the tandoori chicken and the Daal Makhni, it was a perfect lunch. I always have the plain, salted Lassi to drink, but I heard a man saying that his wife thought the mango Lassi was "super good". If you want really spicy you can add the hot chilli chutney. If you order from the menu and want something pretty spicy, I recommend something like the vindaloo, especially the lamb vindaloo. We went at about 1pm, which was a good time since we came after the lunch rush. If you have to go earlier, it might be better to go soon after they open, around 11:30 am. The space is limited in the front, but there is a larger area which could accommodate bigger parties. I would think that it would be better to let them know in advance so they could bring in more staff. This is an authentic Indian restaurant.More
The place is not built for atmosphere, but its clean and neat. The butter chicken and saag paneer and chicken goya were wonderful. The tandoori lamb wasn´t that great. The pakoras were good too. The bar was dark (like lights off) and apparently there was...no bartender there that night. We still were able to get a bourbon and coke, and wine.More
Whenever we're in the Spokane area, we'll make a stop at this restaurant for their Indian buffet before heading to the airport. Food is better than the average Indian restaurant with a good variety. There's always salad, Tandoori chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, rice, curry, dal,...naan, and fruit, along with other dishes offered on a rotational basis. Cost was $12.99 per person in summer 2019.More
OK, let's be realistic. This is a chain restaurant and it's in eastern Washington in Spokane, which is not exactly a booming metropolis. So while the food might not stack up against great Indian restaurants in larger cities, we took out about seven different dishes...for a big family home meal and we enjoyed every one of them. I would definitely eat there again.More
We have always found this restaurant to our liking, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and they always try to meet your needs if you have a special request. I have noticed they don't serve quite as much lamb in their lamb dishes...as they use to, but I suppose everybody has to cut back some way or anotherMore
Three of us went to Taste of India hoping for some good Indian food in Spokane and we found it! The restaurant is pretty nondescript but clean. I wonder, though, about parking if the restaurant was busy. Being on N. Division Street parking is at...a premium. The evening we went it was a quiet night. We had Saag Paneer, Curry Shrimp, their onion naan and a couple of other dishes I forget. The ones I remember were very memorable in their flavour and quality. Saag Paneer is my favourite Indian dish and Taste of India did it up very well. We also ordered some chai tea and were given free refills, which, in my travels, is not something that happens! I recommend Taste of India for a casual and delicious meal at a decent price.More
Went here with a friend for dinner and had a very good malai kofta and paneer pakora. She had tandoori chicken. Portions were very large. Service was excellent. And the food was very good. When back in Spokane I'll go back.
Have been wanting to ride over from Hayden Lake - OMGosh, was it worth the drive! Samosa appy, Chicken tikka and Aloo Gobi w/garlic naan! Everything was fresh, way flavorful and delicious! We will be back often! What a treat!
Okay we arrived late with the buffet open. The got fresh naan. Everyone and everything was good. Not the best I have had but good. Buffet had a good selection 8 difference dishes not counting rice naan and salad. Worth the stop.
I've been to Taste of India twice now. Both times I have had a good experience and had very good food. Unfortunately the exterior of the restaurant and to a large extent the interior do little to entice people inside and is my only disappointment...with the restaurant. On both occasions I have eaten from the menu rather than using the buffet, having a chicken tikka massala and shrimp jafrezi dish which were very tasty. I would recommend a medium spice to the currys as I found the tikka masala to be a little bland when I requested only light spice on my first visit, whereas the jalfrezi was tasted great with medium. Their naan bread is also good and they will make a Peshwari naan on request. The restaurant also serves Indian beers which is always a bonus. Spokane has little in the way of genuine indian cuisine however I believe this place is a diamond in the rough.More
Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the interior is. We were introducing friend to this type of food and couldn't have selected a better place to do so. The food is really delicious. Don't miss...the lunch buffet. It's very reasonably priced and offers a wide selection of food so you can try a variety of dishes. Service is very good and prices are quite reasonableMore
