Immediately after entering, my wife and I were greeted warmly. After being seated, the owner informed us of the specials. He had a wonderful sence of humor. When the food arrived, I had the chicken marsala, and my wife had the toasted ravioli. they were delicious. But the key lime pie was OUTSTANDIND! We may come again shortly just for... More

This was our first time and this restaurant was recommended by friends. Our server Sharee was very attentive to our needs. She answered our questions well and if she didn't know the answer she quickly came back with the answer. Food came very quickly and restaurant was busy. My husband ordered the shrimp and steak medallion and was very impressed... More

This is the second time we have eaten at the Laguna Cafe. It was our first dinner there and it was amazing! The staff are great and the owner took time with each table. Best steak and seafood in town.

The salmon at Laguna is delicious, moist, and cooked perfectly. Great wine list as well. The Sicilian carbonara is requested by many visitors.

Wanted something different. Found it on E 29th Ave. Easy to find. The manager served my wine during my short wait. Good, if not extensive, selection of white and red, plus a decent whiskey selection. The service was attentive, if somewhat robotic at times. The salmon was tasty and the rosemary potatoes were excellent. For dessert, the crème brulee cheese... More

Thank you for taking time to review our restaurant. I hope we can make it 5 stars next time. I would be happy to show you our "Off the List" list of over 90 more wines to go along with the 18 wines on our regular list. Sorry that didn't happen on this visit. Regarding the Service Fee, this is... More

I've changed my mind about this restaurant. When they first moved to the new location the breakfast my friend and I had was horrible. Went there for lunch with my sister the first part of December and we had great food. She had the crab salad and said it was good. She's hard to please. I had the grilled cheese... More

Thank you for giving us another try. Regarding the service fee, it is required that we post it on the menu and you can still tip your server if you feel they have earned it. We had to change to a service fee so we could continue to take care of the entire staff as a team just as we... More

We had booked a reservation for New Year's Eve about 10 days in advance. We were not told it would be a fixed menu that evening, which would have made a difference as we were looking forward to the regular menu. While the atmosphere was truly delightful, the food was not as the main entrees were cold. It was overpriced... More

I am sorry you did not know about the fixed menu, please accept our apologies. I would have been happy to correct the problem with your entrees not being hot as there is no excuse for it. Please give me a call at the restaurant and I will be happy to make it up to you. Thank you for taking... More

My most recent experience was having turduckin for my Thanlksgiving meal. Excellent sides, nice size portions, and reasonably priced. Have the pleasure of dining there again in the near future for dinner with my family. Best independent (and reasonably priced) restaurant on the South Hill.

Special occasion. Owner telling us that he was including the tip in our bill because the state of Washington wants restaurant to do that. Terrible dinner steak and shrimp. Steak was cold like it had been sitting for an hour and shrimp also tasted and looked like it had been waiting around awhile until someone ordered it. Terrible. The owner... More

Why do restaurant's rest on their laurels? This place was one of our favorite places but a recent visit will, most likely be our last as there are many better choices on the hill. The service was very bad, we were all but ignored. The food was barely warm and fairly taseless. Sad to see a formerly great cafe go... More

Laguna Cafe was established in 2007 on Spokane's South Hill. We relocated to our present address in Dec. 2015. We feature Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner on Sunday and Lunch,Dinner Monday thru Saturday in a warm and casual setting. Owners Dan and Chef Debbie collected menu ideas from our families and our travels. Our families have always been in the food business, my Grandfather sold produce door to door after escaping poverty and starvation in Sicily in 1890. Debbie's Mother cooked professionally all her life. We draw on their teaching to inspire our menu of American and Italian dishes as well as things that strike our fancy. We have a full bar, over 90 wines and a dozen beers available inside or on our patio. You may chose to call ahead and drive up to our pick up window to take your meal home with you. Save room we have spectacular desserts.
