Surprising little sushi area away from the teppan tables. The teppan is very good but pricey. The sushi is very good and less expensive than you would thin, considering the prices of teppan. The teppan "show" isn't the best I've seen, but will make the kids happy. There's usually nobody in the sushi bar, so we normally go for just... More

Everyone in the fam enjoyed their dinner... chicken, beef, shrimp. All were fresh and prepared with precision right before our eyes on the grill. Our chef, Freddy was engaging, entertaining and a great cook. Really fun to see him light it up. The kids loved it.

I was in Lynnwood Wa. for only a few days for a family funeral. Staying in a hotel where Susumu Japanese Steak house was very close. I chose to eat there because it was within walking distance of the hotel. I arrived at the restaurant at aprox 4:45 pm. They open at 4pm. I was greeted by rude older lady... More

Had fried rice and chicken - was good. However I declined the salad that went with it and was still charged the full amount. Restaurant is dated and good use a good cleaning.

My daughters and I love this place. The food, service, and atmosphere all add up to a great gastronomic experience. Have been coming here now for 5 years and look forward to each visit. The shrimp is the best I have ever had. All the chefs are excellent and courteous and anxious to please. The owner is a doll, so... More

We happened to be up north in Lynwood. When in the Seattle area and in the mood for this type of restaurant we would go to Benihana in downtown Seattle. Decided to try this place out. First impression from the outside was not very good. Upon entering building it was not much better. Service was a little slow and understaffed... More

We met friends there and had a fun time. Food was good, soup a little salty but the meat was very flavorful. Everyone in our group had something different. We shared food choices and they all had the same spice flavor with the exception of the meat flavor. No one should go home hungry as the serving sizes are plentiful!... More

I have been going to Susumu since I’ve been a little kid and I can’t recall a single time where I haven’t been satisfied with the meal. The chef cooks right in front of you and makes a pretty entertaining show out of it. Some of the highlights of the show are when the chef piles up onions into the... More

We have been here a few times. The food is good not excellent but good. The chef is friendly. The wait staff is not out going or friendly. They seem to be pushy and hurry you up even when the place is empty. The place is dated and probably could use a very good cleaning and remodle. I hope the... More
