Definitely hit the spot and much better than we had expected it to be! Had paid for fancier food the night before and, quite honestly, found this to be equally delicious and authentic at less cost! Also great place to watch the Seahawk Game!!!

We went for lunch at 12:45 on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The town of Leavenworth was packed and this restaurant was packed. We waited about ten minutes to be seated. Just enough time to check out TripAdvisor. The reviews were mixed. Extremes on both sides. Well, here's a good one. They could not have been busier. We were a table... More

First time visiting this place, Had some very good food and the staff was fun. The schnitzel was delicious and so was the German sausage and brats. since we ate there twice during our stay.

The food looked delicious, but unfortunately we never got to try it. We sat for quite some time waiting for drinks, which never came. After we observed other tables being cleared and seated and served after we'd been sitting so long, we decided to leave. I don't recommend Baren Haus based on their poor service.

Please do not let this be the first experience you have with German cuisine. It is not tasty and the food is bland. The only positive was that when we were here there was live music. My girlfriend and I stumbled on this restaurant as it was on the main pedestrian road and had a line up. Do not be... More

We choose this restuarant to eat lunch and the place was hopping busy. The waitresses did a great job keeping up. They served a sour dough bread with great herbed butter. The meals were great and decent portions. Prices for the area are high based on the themed village. Lunch for four was $76 including tip. Beverages were good.

Everything we ate (6 of us) redefined "bland." We were surprised that the German sausages we ate were as bland and tasteless as the other food we ate. Surprising when we expected most restaurants in a German town should have decent German sausages. Beer was very expensive ($9.00 per glass).

We didn't see any of the signs of the negative reviews from a day or two before our visit. Two servers/hosts managed to take care of 6-8 tables of diners and get new customers seated quickly. We had the Schnitzel and the Kohl Roulade (Stuffed Cabbage Rolls), both very good. Dinner also came with a tasty loaf of bread about... More

Nothing special. Sauerkraut was ok. Had schnitzel which was fine. Probably would try somewhere else if back again.

Where to start...we were in leavenworth on a non-event weekend and decided to stop in and grab some dinner. the menu looked good and it wasnt busy for a Saturday night at 7pm. we were seated within about 2 minutes which is exactly what we were searching for since we were hungry from hiking all day. That is where the... More

The oldest family-owned restaurant in Leavenworth! Our recipes are original and the preparations are made right here. We make our own sauces, brines, and dough and our breads are fresh-baked everyday. When you dine with us, you enjoy the kind of food that only a professional can take the time to prepare. We serve authentic German cuisine, pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, and more. Enjoy!
