Vacationing on Orcas Island and craving for Mexican food, my wife and I, found Mijitas and stopped in for dinner. After ordering our drinks we started out with the Dungeness crab guacamole appetizer that not only had several large chunks of crab meat in it but a lot of smaller pieces. It was loaded with crab meat. Nice. For the... More

It was okay nothing special! Margaritas tasted like sweet and sour, guacamole was bland no flavor expected more from the only Mexican restaurant in the area... wouldn't return.

We stopped here for dinner just before closing time and enjoyed the experience. The ambience was lovely and cozy. Loved my margarita. The Chile Verde was finger lickin' delicious! And so also the fish tacos. Yum yum yum. Ended on a sweet note with the flan. Perfect!

We didn't have reservations but were able to score a table on a Tuesday night. Good chips and salsa. I had chili verde and husband had pollo al carbon. Portion sizes were just right - not super huge, but very filling. It doesn't taste like typical American Mexican food, but it was very good.

This place is very authentic. Loved the pitcher that the water came in. They use local ingredients. Staff was friendly. We made a reservation as one reviewer recommended, during the busy season, I strongly recommend a reservation.

We stopped in on a wet Friday evening, and although the place was busy, we got a table right away. The menu featured local ingredients, and it was clear from the outset that the staff took pride in the food. The guacamole was delightful, as were the pollo al carbon and enchilada plate. Extensive beverage selection, featuring wine, tequila and... More

My wife and I enjoyed the margaritas while we ate our chips and salsa. I ordered the chile reno and my wife had chicken taquitos. Both were excellent and hand made. This is real Mexican food.

Authentic mexican cuisine, great margaritas and friendly service. Be sure to make a reservation, as they are booked solid on weekends.
