The food is always great, but don't go if you're really hungry. Portions are small and the price is kinda high. The setting is light and bright, but noisy. The kitchen is open to the room, so the scents wafting through may be worth the visit.

If you're looking for a fine dining experience for lunch, this is your place! John and Johnny run a fine establishment and an island treasure. This is the place where I go with friends for a great lunch - can't beat it. You can dine for under $10 on soup and bread or up to $22. on one of their... More

I stumbled into this place looking for a place to have breakfast, get a coffee and read my book. I was in love as soon as I entered the door. Beautiful breakfast treats were displayed up front and the waitress was so welcoming! I had a large cappuccino, found a seat warmed by the sun and settled in. I selected... More

went for lunch and had creamy potato soup and bread. I thought the soup had too much garlic which overpowered the potatoes. The bread was fresh and tasty ! Service is good and I though it's expensive for what they serve.

Everyone who visits Roses comes away feeling good about the food and service. The attached deli and bakery is not to be missed. Their baked breads and pastries are great. Great place by any standards.

I went on a recommendation to try it out and i must say, i was not disappointed. I went for a sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed how fresh and tasty it was, so the next day i ventured over again and they made the same sandwich for me again though it was not time for lunch. They have a great selection... More

Excellent house smoked gravlox. Perfectly poached eggs on a potato "nest", which was actually the best potato pancake I have had in many years: We ate it all! If we had been on Orcas another day, we would have returned for lunch. Note: Service slow; if you're in a hurry, visit another day. Not inexpensive as breakfast prices go, but... More

This place has a restaurant and attached deli, so you can eat in or take out. We had personal pizzas for lunch, supplemented with soup and salads - all were top notch. You can sit at a counter overlooking the open kitchen, and it was reassuring to see that the kitchen crew were professional, capable and clearly love what they... More

This is our first stop every year after debarking off the ferry to have lunch. I especially love the dandelion salad and the homemade soups.
