Very disappointing. The standard has dropped since our last visit. The menu is now merely pub food and the creative flair has disappeared. Staff are friendly but inexperienced and very few of them on a Sunday lunchtime.
The food was sensational by all six on our table however the service was far from on par
Seemed to be only one or maybe two waiting staff
Not personal at all just food put on the table with no niceties
With hospitality you need...to be hospitable!!!
Service was VERY slow so more staff needed
The saviour was the food, one of the best meals we have ever hadMore
The service was good our entree was quick and the scallops were delicious. Mains were perfect fillet steak cooked to order. The accompanying asparagus was cooked to perfection , jus and hollandaise was nice. Overall a really nice meal . Thank you Chef
I have heard very good reviews about Damians on Fisher, so we thought we would give a try for our anniversary lunch. The staff were pleasant and attentive, but the experience was let down by the food. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection, but...my fish fillet was somewhat of a let down. It was absolutely tiny and was obviously only half a fillet. But, it was the chips which were truly awful; lukewarm and those which weren't soggy, were the over crispy end bits you find in a packet of frozen chips. The crepes (for dessert) were generous and enjoyable. Overall, I would not rate the main courses as restaurant quality and in fact the local pub does a much nicer job with fish and chips.More
Interesting restaurant with large room but appears only a small area used for the restaurant. Kitchen also closes at 8 pm. venue is good. staff are friendly and food was good. The beef fillet was cooked as requested and a nice piece of meat. So...I would say the kitchen does a good job. parking in the street was no problem and there are no stairs or steps. tables are a distance apart so it does not feel crowded.More
I have a very elderly relative whose favourite place in Adelaide is Damian’s. We took her here for her 97 th birthday dinner.
All our food was delicious. Staff were great and paid her lots of attention. It’s very quiet and relaxed. Love coming here...every time I come to Adelaide which is three times a year from the Gold Coast. Thanks everyone. Food is always delicious.More
Recently had lunch here with friends. Ordered from the small plates menu. Not a big selection. I chose the haloumi burger. It arrived after half an hour another friend waited even longer for a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich. The burger had a piece of...haloumi cheese a few grilled mushrooms a bit of shredded lettuce, whatever sauces were in there had been absorbed into the bun making it soggy and uneatable. There were a few chips on the side. Won’t be returning.More
Lunched at “DOF” today as Damien’s restaurant is affectionately called by residents of Living Choice and outside patrons.
There’s a new scrumptious winter menu. Today I had a delicious duck pie with vegetables followed by sticky date ice cream for dessert. Fabulous flavours and generous...serves.
I dine out to lunch or dinner several times a week all around Adelaide and this place is hard to beat for freshness, quality, presentation and service.
Damien and his team create good honest Aussie food at excellent value prices. There’s an interesting and fair priced wine list too or $15 corkage.
A genuine gem just on the edge of the city.
See you there....... I’m one of the residents!
Ps.... AND you can hear yourself speak..... tables are well spaced.More
