Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went with Sydney Swans SA Supporter group to watch AFL live on the big screen in Sportys Bar. We opted for schnitzels, chips and salad. Food didn’t disappoint and great value for money. Salad was fresh and dressing to die for. Friendly staff and clean...venue. Recommend.More

Great venue with reasonable prices. We had chicken schnitzel and salt and pepper calamari. The schnitzel and salad that we both had were beautifully cooked but the chips and calamari were undercooked and the calamari lacked any noticeable spices.

Booked table for 2 on a Friday night for dinner with my wife and was given a table for 6, dirty linen and 4.5 sets of cutlery. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, entrees and mains, totalling $175. While meals were nice, mains came...out when we were only halfway through entrees, and steak and fish mains were cold by the time we ate them. Not good enough.More

Wonderful accommodation, superb food and drinks, entertainment, staff were a little bit off the ball but such a lovely ambience. Will absolutely stay again. Lash out for the Spa suite - so worth it. Great views over the city from 5th floor - only annoyance...where there flashing external coloured lights going all night.More

We are from the country and stay here all the time. I remember eating here when I lived in Adelaide 35 years ago! Nothing much has changed... including the Bistro menu! Please update the Menu!! Deep fried crumbed stuff and really basic steak n chips...doesn't do it any more! The food here is BORING BORING BORING! even a curry here is ridiculous with weird stuff on the top and not juicy meats with rice and pappadams. Roast of the day is a joke. Dried out reheated meat with my all time hate.. roasted spuds with skins on. Please peel the spuds. And please cut and trim your broccolini. I was presented with broc. Untrimmed and just plonked on the plate with my steak a couple of times. Dear Chef. Take my advice and lift this place from dire.... to superb. It won't take much.More

We had booked for a spa room but unfortunately ended up on a twin room instead due to a mix up in the reservation at their end. Although they were apologetic, it would have been better to had that communicated prior to us arriving there....With this, they compensated us with a wine and a free continental breakfast for two for that and I think is good enough. Still, would have given them full stars if they were able to prevent these from ever happenng to guest. As for the bistro, it has a great vibe and a good place to unwind after a hectic week at work.More

Monday night should be a night that's relative quite and seamlessly good food and service not to be this night. Waited 40 minutes for 2 steaks and a steak burger. We inquired after 30 mins to be told the wait was because we ordered steaks...which surprised me as we ordered rare. The most dissapionting fact was the table of 10 all received there meals before us and a couple of other meals were received well before ours arrived 10 mins later. The quality of the steaks were dissapionting considering the price .the whole standard of the meal for the price was dissapionting the service left a lot to be desired. Why would any one return ?More

Not bad at all if you are after a basic pub meal of deep fried schnitzel and burgers. Schnitzels are a bit thin and crispy and greasy for my liking and average little dish of premade salad. Children's menu cheeseburgers were excellent- wish I'd gone...the kids option!More

We stayed at the Arkaba. I ate 3 main meals, 1 lunch and 1 breakfast there. The salt and pepper squid was very average. What was basically a carbonara was really good. The steak and the chicken parmigiana were both average. Brekky was quite nice....I loved the way they did the eggs, but the bacon was very salty. Wines were way over-priced. $13.50 for a 250mL glass of wine I could buy for $18 a bottle? I understand a mark-up ... but there is a line between a mark-up and a rip-off. Ironically, I thought the food wasn't too badly priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'm probably going to be staying there again in a couple of weeks, but I reckon I'll be looking for somewhere else to eat and drink.More

Service was incredible, the staff were kind, respectful & very helpful. Holly & Jamie were the staff on during our lunch and I couldn’t speak more highly of them & their professionalism. Food was fantastic, not your average “pub meal” as it was cooked with...a little more love. Glad we tried this place & would return if in the area again.More

The food is expensive and very average and small portions. They won't change anything to accommodate the individual. Also was not asked if we would like a drink at all with our meals. Poor customer service.
