We went to El Gaucho/Bellevue tonight for our 45 th anniversary I cant find one thing to complain about! Service: we were seated promptly at a table sprinkled with red rose petals and a card wishing us happy anniversary. Three other staff members stopped by...and congratulated us too. Our server was Leo and he is the best server we’ve ever had. He made sure our evening was very special Our dinner flowed perfectly. No long waits, just right. Leo brought us warm bread with melted cheese on top and it was very good Drinks: we had strawberry Martinis and they were wonderful. Our water glasses were never empty! Food: we started with tableside ceasars. Leo was very careful with making sure it was just the way we wanted it. It was delicious! We ordered Chateaubriand with some extra sauces so we could try them. The meat was cook exactly the way we ordered it. Tender and flavorful. We both are allergic to asparagus so they brought roasted corn instead. It was sweet and tender. We didnt have room for dessert but leo sent us home with key lime pie anyway! A perfect meal, perfect service and a lovely time. Congrats! El Gaucho!More

This was our first night out since COVID and we were so excited! The staff was pleasant. The ceasar salad tableside was okay, it was wayyy too much lemon for my taste. The steaks we got I would give a 7/10. The side of potatoes...were so little, we got more when we ordered take out from here which is disappointing.More

We ordered the Chateaubriand for 2 and Bananas Foster for dessert. Our table was decorated with rose pedals and we received a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff. El Gaucho also paid for our dessert as an anniversary gift to us. We had a...great time, the steak was wonderful, as usual, the service was also incredible. Would recommend this restaurant to all wanting to celebrate any occasion.More

Went there celebrating another couple's anniversary. Understand there have to be accommodations for the virus. Service was quite slow but acceptable under the circumstances. I was the only one that had steak, the bone in rib eye, Was supposed to be USDA Prime but looked...and tasted like USDA Good. Very thin, tough, tasteless and poorly cooked. Looked grey not pink. How this piece of meat ever got in the door let alone cooked and served is a tribute to no quality control. Over half of it was waste and to add insult to injury I asked for that along with most of the steak to take home to my dog and they left the inedible part out of the doggy bag so did not even get decent trimmings for my dogMore

Very good meat in a slightly old fashioned restaurant. Good service and ambience. Not affordable, but good value for money considering the prices in the area.

We had a table for 20 for a birthday celebration. We were greeted and seated precisely at the time we had reservations. The staff was outstanding. The food was very good but be warned, it is expensive. Our tab was just shy of $300 for...2 people, which did include a couple cocktails each and a corkage fee for wine. No desert but coffee. We had the Chateau B for 2 and there was plenty to bring home for another meal. In that many ordered the same food item, by the time they got to us, we got what was remaining, which was considerably shy of the 10 oz per person quoted on the menu. Nice experience for a special occasion.More

We made reservations at 8pm on New Year’s Eve. We got there ten minutes early and were not seated until 8:30 which was very frustrating with no apologies from the host stand. The only decent part were the glasses of champagne being passed around as...people were waiting. Our server was sub par at best. It took us over 30 minutes to get drinks and another hour just to get our salads. More often than not, he walked past our table and checked in probably once or twice at most the entire time we were there. We didn’t get our entrees until about ten to 11 and had to eat fast to get home by midnight. Not one apology from our server for how slow the kitchen was at putting food out, etc. Rodolfo was our server and if we ever come back we’ll be sure to request NOT being in his section. We were very angry about the 20% service charge because that guy didn’t earn it. Really disappointing overall but the food was good as always so that was the one good point of an overall cluster of an evening.More

We were very impressed with the initial service, the valet at the door, the hostess and getting to our table. The Bellevue facility was quite nice and decorated for the Holidays. Best El Gaucho that we have been too. Then it slowed from there. We...came early at 6:00pm as we knew that during the Holidays it would be busy. Our service from our waitress and somelier was very poor and slow all night. Felt like we were the second or third option in the area. My wife had to get up on a number of occassions to pour her own wine. We sat for quite some time to order drinks, place our meal order etc. We had to ask the waitress about the prime rib on Sundays and she didn't know if that was served that evening or not. Just seemed a bit off. The food was really nice. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the sharables were delicious (scalloped potatoes, spinach and baked potatoes) and the appetizers crab cakes were really delicious. However, we sat with our finished plates for quite a while and then after we ordered the desserts, they brought the El Gaucho signature desert tray that we had all forgot about. In fact during Cherries Jubilee at the table, the server was talking to other guests instead of serving us....just weird. The service was just a bit off all night. The food was amazing, but service not to the expense of the night and the reputation of past visits to El Gaucho.More
