Coquette Bake Shop & Creamery is hands down the best bakery on Bainbridge Island. The pastries here could easily be sold anywhere in France and do quite well. Bypass the Blackbird and come here.

Don't know where he learned to bake French pastries, but the Coquette Cart is not to be missed. Great sandwiches as well. The best I've ever had outside of Paris. Always served with a smile and in lovely bags. My go-to place for all occasions.
Surprising that others like Blackbird can exist with competition from Coquette. It is head and shoulders better than any bakery on Bainbridge, including Pan d'Amore in Lynnwood Center. The almond croissants and morning buns rule amongst the offering. The savory pastries I do find a...More
Fast becoming an island institution a small cart sits in the courtyard of an open mall in the center of town. Freshly baked pastries and fresh made sandwiches. The best pastry on Bainbridge. If you can get their small batch caramel corn.....yum
This little kiosk sells the best pastries on the island. It's all just soooo good you must sample everything they offer. I'm partial to the pecan maple bars but you really can't go wrong here.
When going to the markets in Paris or anywhere in France you might come across a bakery like Coquette...if you are lucky.

They sell out, so go early in the day. Real French bakery good, made fresh. Crossiants, plain, almond, chocolate filled, fills my hunger. Many other items including yummy baguette sandwiches. Fresh squeezed orange juice completes a continental breakfast. All goodies from a cart, all open...More
These people nail baked goods, particularly croissants and their cousins. My only complaint is that it is sometimes hard to figure out when they are open. Saturdays at the Farmer's market is a given, and most weekdays as well. Not open on Sundays or Mondays,...More
Thank you for taking the time to praise our croissants and cousins! Based on your (and others') feedback, we have worked hard to make it possible to be open 7 days per week beginning in March 2017. Hopefully from that point on there will be...More
I love Le Panier. When it started in Portland, many years ago I was one of the bakers. I used to think it had the best french pastries until I ate at Coquette on Bainbridge Island. This is truly an artisan french bakery where everything...More
