I tried the chicken with vegetables on the side. My friend enjoyed the vegetarian plate with a portabella mushroom and she liked it. This was my least favorite restaurant in Colonial Williamsburg due to the food choices but the service was good.

Our first choice for lunch was closed the day we were there, so we stopped in here for lunch. The building is one of the colonial style places and the staff wear period dress. The limited menu is, I guess, supposed to represent things they...More

The menu was fun, but small. I actually like small menus. My kids and I had Ale Potted Beef Pye (beef pot pie), Ivory Coast Chicken Drumettes (chicken wings), and Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich. I had some local beer to go with it. The meal...More

Stopped here for lunch while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Service was good. Food was pricey. My husband had the pot pie which was good, much better than my shrimp and grits. So if you go, try the pot pie.

We ate lunch here with our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The atmosphere was unique and the service was good. We enjoyed the food and the entertainment (Irish harpist.) We wish we had been offered to eat in the lower level by candlelight....we...More

Tom/Tim (can't remember exact name) was a good server. That was one of the only highlights of our lunch. They have a VERY small menu, and the only seemingly normal item was the burger (which was called the beefsteak or something strange). The burger was...More

We had lunch here and both had the Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich which was very good, but have had better elsewhere. I recommend waiting until after the main lunch rush. We got there towards the end of the rush and it was quite noisy inside,...More

This was the worst dining experience we had inside Williamsburg during our entire stay. The food was expensive and lackluster and the waitstaff were unfriendly, unresponsive and one of them actually rolled their eyes at a member of our group when they asked for a...More

Since I've been to shields. We stopped here for dinner on our first night in Williamsburg. It was delicious. The African beef stew was so good. Highly recommended. A little pricey but I think it was worth it

In the restored area you don't see many animals unless service animals. Not sure if there is a real ban on them but the best thing to do would be to contact CWB information center and they could definitely tell you.

Nothing in Historic Williamsburg is a very far walk...and, yes, check to see if there is parking behind the restaurant...many have accessible parking to the rear so that cars do not have to nor are allowed to travel the... More
