Pricey but spectacular! Very exotic menu cooked to perfections. Breakfast is also amazing. The croissants are beyond compare.

My friend and I had dinner here while we were staying at Wedmore Place. It was definitely the best part of our weekend in Williamsburg. The service was excellent; our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly, a great guy. To be honest, I'm not a fan of the neighboring Williamsburg Winery's wine. Cafe Provencal of course had plenty else to... More

This is the best restaurant in Williamsburg, bar none, and we have eaten at nearly all of them multiple times. We visit Williamsburg from DC often, and Cafe Provençal would be both packed every night and three times as expensive in metro Washington. Our meal tonight was amazing from start to finish, and that's what we expected. It's been so... More

We booked Christmas dinner here as we spent the holiday weekend at Wedmore Place. My husband and I were absolutely blown away by this 4 course meal which was delicious, elegant, and beautifully presented. The chef made a first course of butternut squash bisque (an ordinary restaurant item typically) into an exciting plate. A silky soup had a toasted sage... More

My husband and I made a dinner reservation recently to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had dined at this restaurant before and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, we were not aware that they had changed chefs. Our dinner was a huge disappointment. I ordered duck which I have had many times at French restaurants and always loved it. The duck... We went on a Saturday night with a second couple. It was not full so it is mysterious why it took a hour for us to get appetizers and another hour for our main course (which wasn't delivered to all diners at the same time!). We weren't offered any bread during the wait or later and the waitress topped off... More

This was our third visit to Cafe Provençal over the past four year and the food was as good as ever. The menu is somewhat eclectic but firmly based in the French tradition. Service is good and non-obtrusive. The dining room is small and quiet. Prices are comparable to other fine dining restaurants in the area but the food is... More

Had dinner here several times when we stayed at the Wedmore Place, the hotel on the Williamsburg Winery property. Fine Dining, great food and a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. The service is great, very professional. They treat you very well here! We love to come here for a romantic weekend getaway.

I want to first start off my saying that our server was great. I think he name was Kara. But the food was such a total disappointment. No wonder on friday night at peak dinner time there were only 4 tables filled. I went there on a date or I would have complained. I did send my salad back. I... More

My husband and I went there on a Wednesday for my birthday, and it was amzing from the start. Though we were only one of two tables for awhile, the server didn't act like we were an imposition; were treated with every care. The restaurant is part of Williamburg Winery, so I didn't expect to see wine offered from other... More
