Nice friendly wait staff. Small town feel with delicious food. The She Crab soup was great. A friend in our group is not seafood lover and ordered a steak that was delicious.

The shrimp were fried well and tasted good. The fried fish of the day was whiting, and it was all breading since the fish is so thin. The she crab soup had the consistency of a blizzard at Dairy Queen. It wasn't edible. The green...More

We had passed this restaurant several times visiting relatives at Sandbridge and had to stop in. We arrived at 5:00 on a Monday evening and got a table right away. Within 15 minutes there were probably 30 people waiting for a table. The front porch...More

Heard about Margie's and Ray's Crab house from friends, and there opinion made it a destination. They were "Spot on". Great service, (thank you Emily), great food, reasonable prices, and the locals like it. (It git really busy after 6) Always a good indication.

Searching for a place where the locals eat? This is where you need to be. We waited a while, but was well worth it. Fresh Maryland Blue Crabs, hushpuppies, fresh fish and amazing pies to finish the meal. Fun and loud and great for families.

A down home local spot with a great atmosphere and super friendly staff - The portions are big and everything is prepared with a lot of flavor - Unbelievable breakfasts (real Penna Dutch Scrapple) and the shrimp boil was the best we had during our...More

Have been here before. I thought that the quality of the food had slipped. The fish and shell food tasted like it had been frozen. The experience was just not worth the long wait and the prices.

We went here wth a large group and we're able to be seated on a Friday night with about 1 hour wait. Not bad considering the place was packed. While we waited we had a few beers and they even comped us some soft-drinks for...More

Our wait time was extremely short even though we were told it would be 20-30 minutes, so that was really nice. The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and professional. Our food was absolutely delicious. The frilled crab cakes were fantastic and the fried...More

I don't believe so, but you could always call and double check. It is more of a local place, rather than upscale fine dining. But food is good.

Margie and Ray’s Restaurant was established in 1964 as a small country store and tackle shop which was owned and operated by Ray and Margie Blanton. This landmark building located on a dirt road, now known as Sandbridge Road, served as a convenience for local Sandbridge residents. The store was passed on to their son Thomas in 1997 where it was renovated into a small seafood restaurant. Over the past several years Margie and Ray’s has become known as one of the top seafood establishments in the southern end of Virginia Beach. It continues to be operated by Thomas Blanton.
