The Dogwood in Vinton gives friendly service and a great selection of blue plate specials, sandwiches and house specialties. We go to Roanoke two to three times a year and normally catch lunch there at least onetime during the trip.Good value for the cost.

We stopped here for late breakfast on 11/3/16 after reading glowing reviews. Actually, it is standard breakfast fare, with mediocre service. A minimum for any breakfast joint is to keep the coffee mugs full, and that did not happen at the Dogwood, even though restaurant was only 1/2 full of people. The prices are fair; our omelet was $6.95 and... More

Food is good. It's dirty and if you're not a regular you're not treated as well. Not worth the hassle of trying to get attention from the servers.

We count on the Dogwood to be our go to, come as you are, neighborhood fair. Their hamburgers, chicken and dumplings country veggies are always good.

This is just a down to earth, old fashion atmosphere with real home style cooking. Everyone is very friendly and nice. Nothing fancy but really good food.

Had lunch today with family. Food was good. Especially like their crinkle cut fries -can't always get those places. It's a very busy place and always is when we go so tight quarters inside and service takes a while because it's so busy. Will continue to go. Specials of the day are always good

It is like walking back into the 60's.What a super find. Real comfort food like my mom use to make; Meatloaf, fried chicken and such a selection of fresh vegetables----you would not believe! Their burgers are thick and juicy, loaded with all the "stuff" that a great burger requires. Wait staff is so friendly and helpful. I have been there only... More

I was given some bad advice. I was told the food would make up for the shabbiness of the dining area. The rest room was atrocious. Dirty sink, toilet and floors. On return to the table, my appetite left. Food was barely fair.

This is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in downtown Vinton. It is always busy for breakfast and serves very good lunch as well. I got take out for my staff recently, I had the "Cool Ranch" chicken which definitely hit the spot on a cold day!

I took 6 business associates here for lunch and we had a great time. Right in the heart of downtown Vinton with all the small town charm. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. We tried too many sandwiches and salads to list but they were all very good. Great place for lunch!
