There is nothing about Cracker Barrel that stand out either good or bad. The food is consistent and tasty and the staff is very polite. My favorite part is the country store.

My husband and I were traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant was busy as it was a Saturday, but we were seated right away. I enjoy the Apple Cider BBQ Chicken with a side salad and carrots. The chicken is juicy and the barbecue sauce and the apple and cranberry chutney provide a nice... More

Wide menu selection at great prices. Always good food. You'll always have leftovers due to generous portions. Short wait for the amount of traffic

We stopped on our trip south on I81. The wait was short and the waitress was quick to get my unsweetened tea. I had the meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and green beans. It was all really good. The biscuits and corn bread was dry, though.

We went on a Friday night the 30 min wait was understandable. We got a table right by the host desk so was sitting almost in the walkway. My boyfriend was seated behind a child the seating was so tight he kept getting hit the whole time. Service was good, our server was busy but polite and prompt. Food came... More

Places change. People change. Maybe I'm getting picky in my old age (50s), but the last 2 times we have had breakfast here, I have been dissatisfied. I don't expect "burn your mouth" hot but lukewarm grits and eggs???? And why are the muffins served cold not warmed? Oh, and the coffee? I have pretty low expectations for restaurant coffee... More

Food was good. We just had issues with changing an item on the menu. Seems like it was their first time asking for a substition. Every other detail was great.

Anytime we are on a trip, as we are now, we are mostly likely going to stop at a Barrel or two! Their country store part is brilliant marketing! My wife always finds something to buy! I have not yet stopped at one that wasn't crowded or not well managed! At this Barrel, we stopped for breakfast. The fire was... More

When in doubt, head to something you know. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's all good. Service is above par and always friendly at this local Cracker Barrel.
