We walked to the Thornton River Grille from our lodgings right across the street. The dishes we ordered (Scallops, Pork Chop) were well-prepared and delicious. The service was good. Even though restaurant was only ~half-full (we were there on a Thursday evening), the table of 4 next to us was speaking loudly so we were glad when they left halfway... More

Our small group had dinner on a Saturday evening in early October. The menu had a lot of nice options, including soups, salads & entrees. The stuffed pork chop was outstanding. The wine list had a nice variety at reasonable prices. Lastly, the staff was very friendly & attentive. Overall a great dinner.

If you find yourself in Sperryville go here. If you are looking to get out of DC -- this is your destinations! This lovely little restaurant is the best in Sperryville. Typical American fare, a nice regional wine list and yummy IPAs on tap. The deck is wonderful, the interiors are quaint. It's worth a stop on your way to... More

We met some friends there for lunch. My wife had the steak salad (true carnivor) which she said was very yummy. I had a chicken salad that also comes as a sandwich. Very good menu and micro beer selection. Great stop near Skyline Drive.

We stopped in for lunch after a multi-hour hike earlier in the morning. I really enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich but my compatriot's hamburger was just okay. There was nothing about the decorations or layout to write home about, nor was there anything special about their service. Sitting outside on the upper balcony would probably have been a better option.... More

One of our best meals ever! I had the seared scallops and my husband had the tenderloin. All the food is locally sourced. Very delicious and the service was excellent too. This is a must stop if you are in the vicinity of the Shenandoah Natl Park.

We were headed out to Skyline Drive for the day and stopped in to the Grille for Brunch -- we are glad we did. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good (loved the pancakes) at very reasonable prices. If in the area definitely worth a visit.

Good food, and a decent vegetarian selection. Thoughtful beer and wine menus. We certainly enjoyed it.

Sopped in for dinner after riding around town. Reservations are recommended as it is small but food was great.

We also serve a lovely brunch on Sunday from 10am to 3pm and dinner from 5pm to 8pm. The atmosphere is at the same time elegant and casual.
