The place for homemade muffins, sandwiches, pies, and cookies. The Monster cookies are my kids favorite and all the local teens stop by in the morning to pick up a hand made sandwich to take for lunch. Reasonable prices and catering available too. The ham biscuits are great when serving large parties!

My husband was working in South Boston for a few months and I went to visit for a week. He took donuts to work for his crew one morning and had some leftover. He made the mistake of bringing me a Coconut one. Needless to say, the next day (and the day after that), I was making a drive to... More

If you blink, you will miss it BUT it is worth the trip going back to find it. The food is delicious!! The atmosphere is very homey feeling. It's almost as if you are amongs family. The sandwiches are large enough to eat then and save some for later. But the desserts HAVE to be eaten as soon as you... More

This is one busy little place, especially at lunch. As a Pennsylvania native, it is nice to be able to buy some comfort food not normally found in the South (Lebanon & Sweet Lebanon Bologna;birch beer;cream soda). Baked goods are wonderful (cookies, pies, doughnuts, muffins, bread).

A highlight of a trip to Halifax is getting down to the Windmill Bake Shop to pick up some lemon donuts and coffee cake. Break the diet, go for a walk by the lake to work off those tasty calories.
