Great and friendly staff and fresh food

Food was very fresh and staff was very friendly special thanks to Charlene and Nikki for the friendly welcome coming in also. I ordered a lot of food and all was right :)

Service was actually preety good. There were a lot of cars in the drive through but it only took 10 minutes to finish. Kudos to the staff and management team.

Best Arbys in the USA

Not sure whether there are more like this one- but we never saw another one in our road trip across the USA. In comparison to fast food joints- this one ranks at the top of our list. Lots of menu selections and check out the rotisserie chickens.

Horrible : no care for sanitation nor customers

Horrible. The usually spotless, orderly, good serviced Arby’s was having a bad night. Bad nights are allowed as we are all not perfect and under lots of stress, but a food establishment should not sacrifice quality, cleanliness nor health code or respect for the customer and the money being paid to receive clean, cooked up to health code food. This was the s entail: A tray of grilled chicken sat out on a counter for all to see, uncovered, not under any heat, flies landing on it and the workers not caring and taking orders from it until we called them out and said this is unacceptable. Basically one worker said I won’t give you chicken from here. We said it should not be given to anyone. This was sloppy, unclean and the workers did not care. We are also still in the midst of a pandemic! I typically will not go to any fast food and if I do it is an Arby’s in Richmond or Metro Richmond only. Not anymore. Also no zucchini bread was given with our order as it was supposed to be included. We saw it out in the open as well. We hope this sandston, Virginia has a better night and thinks about it’s customers.

"Bad attitude"

Walked in the door, Greeted by cashier; "I have a bad attitude today". Um, OK. I was hoping that was her problem, and not mine. However, it quickly became mine. This is an Arby's, but vastly different from any I had ever been to, across the U.S. When i walked in, I did not see any of the familiar things, with other Arby's. There was no menu board. There was a bakery, and frozen custard counter. I saw a large cabinet of rotisserie chickens. I stepped up to the cashier, who quickly told me she had a "bad attitude today". I asked her why things looked so different? (explaining we had never been to an Arby's like this one), Where was the menu? She pointed to a very small menu on the counter, in front of the register I didn't have my glasses on (as I was expecting the large menu board) I couldn't make out any of the small print. I explained this. She snapped, "what do you want?" I explained what I usually order. She said "fine". I asked about the custard, bakery and chickens, as I had never seen this before. She snapped that it was a "franchise". I asked about ordering a chicken to-go. She said; "it's on the menu".... after I had just explained the eye glasses. My husband piped in an said "I don't see a whole chicken". Cashier; "it's there" with a very loud sigh and snark, she then said "it's 8 pieces". We finalized our order. She threw a device across the counter, as she snapped my payment out of my hand. I didn't know what it's purpose was, or if it was actually meant for us. I asked the cashier. She dramatically rolled her eyes, sighed and scoffed, very loudly, before explaining, it would vibrate, when the food was ready. The restaurant was very nice. Very clean. The counters, drink station, tables and rest rooms were nice, and clean. There are very nice light fixtures. The windows are angled to create a greenhouse effect. A large ficus tree lives, (and thrives in the middle of the restaurant). There is even a raised upper level, of seating. The food came as ordered.... except the "shake". My husband always orders a Jamoca shake. Instead, he was given a Jamoca frozen custard. We are not sure they offer shakes? I did sneak a bite, it was delicious!! My husband noticed a bottle of hot sauce on the table. He really liked it. I suggested he purchase a bottle. He went to the counter, and asked the same cashier about making the purchase. She said she didn't know anything about it. The sauce was sitting right in front of the register, she stood at. She was very snarky, and terse. Something came over us, and we decided to order a rotisserie chicken meal, to-go for supper, that evening. Big mistake!!!! The cashier seemed very angry, very RUDE and very bothered by us. Her "bad attitude" was in full effect! We had never ordered this before, we had a few minor questions. She was NOT happy about any of it. To say she had a "bad attitude" was a vast understatement. I am diabetic, and baked potatoes are a NO-NO. I was beyond excited to see that they offered baked sweet potatoes (a "go") for diabetics. We ordered "seasonal salads" and baked sweet potatoes. At supper time, we opened the bags... the salad were teeny... literally several pieces of lettuce. Not the "seasonal" Caesars, as described by "bad attitude". And ordered by us. The potatoes? Baked russets!!! The chicken (which was not "whole" and was so very dry, it was really way past dry... it was inedible!!!! Chicken jerky. Also, the bones were "melted" into the meat.... which tells me, way, way, way overcooked. Was happily excited when we saw the interior atmosphere... if all fast-food places looked this nice, comfy and inviting... it would be fantastic... but, if I am immediately met with "I have a bad attitude today" by the very employee that is literally the face, and exact representation of Arby's, why would I waste my time, or hard earned money?? We purchased two meals that day. Could only literally eat one... and had to throw the other, in the trash!! The roast beef was the usual. No complaints. But, I take a great deal of heartache with the person taking my hard earned money, being so RUDE, nasty, and unpleasant.... I doubt, we will ever risk this location again. Which is a shame. I am intending to sound harsh.. but, when I am spending my hard earned money, purchasing a product and purposefully decide to spend my time and money at a business... your "bad attitude" is your problem, and in no way should become mine. Let alone complain to me about it!

Really big selection on the menu

I had an apple-chicken salad sandwich one day and a turkey avocado sandwich the second day I was in town for work. Both were fresh and really tasty, and frankly, this is not what I expect from other Arby's locations I have tried. This Sandston location also has zucchini muffins. Their décor is much better than other Arby's locations. They appear to be trying to make this into a "real" restaurant.

Not your typical Arby's

This must be a test store for a very different Arby's menu. Very good selection and very tasty. The rotisserie chicken is great they had lots of vegetable choices. Almost too much for lunch.

Accurate order; Good Food; Long Wait

Our order was taken quickly; however, it was 17 minutes between the credit card receipt being time stamped and when the handheld alert device let us know the food was ready. The order was accurate and tasty. Just don't come if you are in rush. We appreciated the music in the dining room and liked the live tree. This is a menu that has something tasty for everyone.

We had not visited Arby's in a while. What a pleasant surprise. The interior has been refurbished and the menu selection has increased. We were especially impressed with the rotisserie chicken and yogurt. The chicken smelled really great. And the sandwiches we ordered were tasty and well prepared.

Preflight lunch

I stopped at Arby's before a flight. I've been here to this Arby's before, but it's been several years. This Arby's is a little different than other Arby's I've been to, for the good. You can get more than just a sandwich. You can order a freshly made tossed salad, cooked veggies, and they have a cookie bar. All this, plus the regular opportunities for roast beef or chicken. They also have jazz music as a background to your eating pleasure.

Arby's out of roast beef???

My husband just went to this Arby's to pick up some supper for us. Imagine his surprise when he was told they had no roastbeef. An hour and a half before they closed and they don't have the food item they're most known for?? No milk shakes available either. Sounds like someone cleaned the machines too early. Very disappointing!!!

Frozen custard

Every time Im in Richmond I have to stop at this Arby's for the frozen custard. It topped off a great meal of rotisserie chicken with a side salad and sweet potato. Staff are nice and friendly.

My goodness! What a surprise!

This is NOT your typical Arby's. It does have all the standard Arby's menu items, but this Arby's has an expanded menu that is remarkable. I enjoyed a full roasted chicken dinner with fresh sides of broccoli, baked potato, cinnamon apples while the 12-yr. old could enjoy her usual favorites. If you are in the area, give this Arby's a chance to truly surprise you with this expanded menu!
