Quick easy typical greasy spoon diner food was good access was easy. Food was cooked to our likkings and quick.

What a lucky find on our last night in Richmond. This is a classic dinner. It has an extensive menu of what might be called "comfort food"; fried and baked chicken, fried fish, burgers & dogs, breakfast all day; corn bread, steak, liver & onions, fried cinnamon apples, greens and so on. Prices are very reasonable, entree and two sides for under $10. Portions are not going to leave anyone hungry at the end of the meal. This is a fine little place. Waitstaff friendly & efficient. Food ample and very tasty.

We were initially a little reluctant to go in after reading the current reviews, but we went in and had the best, really delicious breakfast! The Farmers Omelet, served with apples and a biscuit were very good (and huge)!! The bacon (loaded) and cheese omelet was also delicious!! We thought we would add the “Short Stack” which was 2 huge pancakes, fluffy and very tasty.
Yes, the restaurant could be updated, but the staff was great....we will be back!!

We have eaten at many diners along the way but would not return here. The more we looked around while waiting for our food, the more we noticed that the place was not very clean. We had to keep whooshing the flies from our table. The greens did not taste that good and the crabcake was out on the grill and had all the flavors of everything else that was grilled.

We went for breakfast and most of the others seemed to be locals and well known to the staff. Service was great and the food and portion size was excellent.
Yes, it is an old place and a bit run-down but that is the character of the place. It is located just across the street from Richmond International Airport.

If this place were cleaner, id rate it a "4". Enjoyed a hearty breakfast here, and it was good. I usually opt for Waffle House when flying out of Richmond, which i feel is a consistant "3", but Ive wanted to try Ma & Pa's for a while...
The outside & inside of the restaurant are in need of attention. Cleanliness of the kitchen and tables earned a "hmmm" as i looked for a spot to sit down.
I ordered the biggest breakfast they've got. Scrambled eggs, 3 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, hash browns and toast.
Must say the food was really tasty. I was especially fond of the link sausages, which were as big as hot dogs and had a good flavor. All in all it was a good breakfast.
They have a daily specials board that listed ribs, steaks, oysters and shrimp. Id like to try some other food here, to see if its any good.
Try it, just dont expect the Good Housekeeping award to be on the fromt door.

Eat at this restaurant 2- 3 times a year when in town.
Food is usually good - however the owners should
consider remodeling or at least shut the restaurant down
for a period of time (long enough) to do a very thorough cleaning and
of the blinds, carpet, etc.

Will not return service was quick and friendly. Place was a bit old and needed a good scrubbing. Weak coffee that seemed water down and just plain and lack of taste food.

And when I mean old, I think that location was closed 10 years ago and these people decided to just open the doors and start this restaurant in the same fashion as the Waffle house. Unfortunately they didn't clean up from the old days. It was dirty. And the food is the same, almost as a Waffle house. I should have left. Unfortunately I had already driven off the interstate and was looking forward to home cooking. The food was good, I just needed to close my eyes to not see the dirt and grease still there from past 10 years.
No need to go here.

It is definitely a community diner where it seemed that everyone knew everyone. It was a good change of pace. At my server's request, I got the hamburger steak with sauteed onions and brown gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans. YUM! She also recommended the fresh blackberry cobbler ala mode. YUM! YUM!

The atmosphere is like in the movies and pretty busy. The food was really tasty and good prices. They forgot my sausage, but it wasn’t a big deal. They serve a lot of food and it’s very homey.
