Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast plate. The place stayed packed the whole meal and service never skipped a beat.

Visited for late supper & ordered Black Angus meatloaf & asked waiter to hold the crispy onion straws, with double mashed potatoes in place of the corn, cup of chicken noodle soup & chocolate milk. Soup arrived first, followed by the entre plate which was not even warm. Meatloaf was covered with the crispy onion straws which I did not... More
Yes, you can get a tasty burger and a great milkshake; but there is so much more to the menu! Silver Diner has some great salads, vegetarian offerings as well as a variety of other offering that are fresh and very well prepared! The atmosphere speaks to the old diner tradition, which is fun. Bonus-- you can get a beer... More
The food is a step above what you would expect at a typical diner. Locally grown organic ingredients make everything taste fresh. There are plenty of non burger options for those looking to eat something healthier too. Tuesday night is kids night and there are crafts or entertainment to keep the kids entertained.
We visit Herndon every year usually around thanksgiving this year we chose Christmas. We always make at least one day we stop at the Silver Diner. The kids love the mini jute box at the table. The service and food is always good, reasonably priced and fast. The décor is interesting as well.
This diner focuses on locally sourced farm products, healthy options, and excellent choices. The crab crakes are very good, as is the shrimp scampi. Breakfasts are above average dinner fare, with specials inn weekdays before 11AM which include juice and coffee. Healthier "Flexitarian" options are available. The service is usually good, except later in the evening near closing time, when... More

Love/hate the fact that they tell you about many dishes' caloric values. It's the best for breakfast; lots of competition for lunch and... More
We visited the Silver Diner as a group of tourists (accompanied by two local residents). The menu was huge and we were spoilt for choice. I opted for meatloaf and was given an enormous portion, with a complimentary bowl of corn chowder on the side. It was very good, if a little overwhelming! The vanilla milkshake was amazing - delicious... More
