I went here with my girlfriend and it was my first time in downtown Portsmouth. It was a nice and quaint part of town with a lot of restaurants and bars. The restaurant was conveniently located on the main strip and has some seating and a bar area. We started with the Poppin Peppers which I felt were okay and... More

We ate there a couple of times when we wanted quick Mexican for a good price. Usually busy and I've never had anything bad there.

The restaurant is a tiny little place, but the food is all San Diego! The menu is interactive with a grease pencil and you the diner, picks what goes into your burrito or taco. Of course, if you don't know what you want, they have the "Bad Idea" which will satisfy the biggest eaters. There is the cheese crisp which... More

I ate here several times while visiting Portsmouth; got the carnitas and chicken on tacos and they were both delicious. The beef tacos were just ok compared to the others. The fresh chips were delicious too. The food was quick, delicious, and I appreciated how FRESH everything was. Highly recommended!

My husband live in the southwest for almost 20 years, so I was excited when I heard about this place. He always says that there are no good Mexican or Southwest food in the area, especially Carne Asada Burritos. Though the Rolled Tacos were not how they are traditionally, he enjoyed them. The burrito unfortunately was not good. No flavor,... More

First visit for us. Interesting order process using the plastic coated menus and Greece pencils. Decent selection of burritos, tacos, etc. they have a Sandra dog that I want to try on my next visit. The description sounded Ike hot dog greatness and I do love a good dog! We shared three pork tacos and the grandson had the cheese... More

You get exactly what you want at Cantina 619.....you choose everything that goes in or on your tacos or burritos. The menu isn't extensive, but everything they do is good. Don't miss $1 taco night on Wednesdays!

-Carne Asada fries--very tasty. You'll be tempted to get the nachos, but the fries are a great twist and delicious. You can get nachos anywhere. -Build your own menu is fun, and the size you get is pretty big. -Staff was very conscious of their audience--when we walked in with five small children they immediately switched and turned down the... Food: Well prepared, authentic flavor Drinks: Draft Beer, Cold and Carbonated, tasted great. Atmosphere: Former Navy diver memorabilia on the walls. The Bar is a bit too tall for the stools that are there, we moved to a table to eat more comfortably. Great for a relaxed atmosphere.
