Wine food matches very good. Lovely way to spend a wet Sunday under the vines. Personable & informative service.

Lovely peaceful setting in the countryside just out of Martinborough. Fabulous food, we had the lamb parcels which were very tasty. Tim, the owner served us wine tastings at our table ($5 NZ pp) and was entertaining and easy to talk to.

We came to coneys for a wedding. The staff and location was fantastic, a really beautiful setting. We tried several of the wines which were all beautiful. My favourite was the rosé.

I hadn't been out to Coney for many years but had a mate staying and it was a beautiful Wairarapa day with no wind!!!! So we headed out to Coney Wines. Running a bit late we rang to be told that they were closing the kitchen earlier, at 2.00pm because they had a wedding in the afternoon. WE arrived just... More

The food, the people, the wine listed here alphabetically as each element is at the top of its game. The food, not just a platter but brilliantly prepared food (prepared by owner) which of course matches very well with the wine (grown and produced by owners) which is presented quite articulately, even humourly by the owner. Three elements, three owners.... More

About 7 minutes outside Martinborough, Coney is beautifully located in the vineyard with a view of the Rimataka range. The service is friendly and down-to-earth. The food is excellent, though it's a very international menu rather than local. I had the beef carpaccio and Louisiana soft shell crab. Fully priced.

We had a beautiful lunch at Coneys on Saturday. The service was fantastic, gorgeous food and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. It was very enjoyable dinning in the sheltered courtyard. Can't wait to return. The deserts are divine.

I love this place - my favourite luncheon date with delicious food, wonderful wines and an amusing host that I never tire of. A small winery but their wines are great and all named after musical references - try the Ragtime Riesling - and their food is truly scrummy. A small menu but delightful and flavoursome. All the time being... More

We had a lovely time at Coney. The food was nice and the service professional and in the case of the older chap entertaining. Wines were nice too. A very pleasant experience.

Thank Mark O
