Came here for a friends birthday, she had booked a month earlier. We were seated outside in what I will refer to as the paddock. It was freezing, and when we asked to be seated inside they kindly accomodated us informing us there would be...a 15 minute wait. That's fine, lets order some drinks. No you cannot come to the bar and no we would prefer you didn't use cash. Fine whatever, but that drink finally arrived 30 minutes later, after asking twice. Don't have ice cause there's more of that than actual drink. Our server inside was efficient. The food wasn't really what I expected. The Feed me menu was pretty basic, meat was tasty but not a lot of it for $65 salad was boring and dry, carrots were great. Would like to go back and try breakfast but wouldn't rush back for a meal at dinner time.More

First time I been to The Firehouse. We had a great lunch the service was excellent and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back

This place looked good on the out side, a small cafe, we expected standard cafe food but oh my goodness were we pleasantly surprised they're smoked meats were sensational the brisket was to die for. We try the $55 selection where the chef chooses the...meats and what you get and then you choose your own desserts that was the best thing we could have done, absolutely awesome. 1st time visit. Nice venue and staff very friendly. We had the set menu. It was very tasty and enjoyable.The only problem I find with a set menu if it is not changed many times over the year I would not keep returning for the...same food.More

We had a lovely dinner with friendly service. I have a roasted cauliflower dish which was amazing and polenta chips. The ambiance was nice and inviting and the space was designed nicely. They did have a little technical issue with the billing system at the...end but it was fairly quickly rectified. Thank you for a beautiful meal.More

The Firehouse had been an upmarket (expensive) restaurant for a few years but my how it’s changed. It’s now a bar with food. We went on Mexican night, choice of three tacos and nachos. The tacos were delicious, pulled pork my favourite. Nachos were ok...need some work. Big range of beers on tap, lots of cocktails and reasonable wine list. It’s a very quirky building with lots of nooks. Looks to be a fun place to have a drink, watch some sport and enjoy.More

We had a family meal here on our last night in Australia. The food was great as was the wine. However it was let down by the very slow service - they seemed to be understaffed. The wait staff were very friendly, when you could...get their attention. A nice night, but it could have been better.More

Nice ambience and pleasing decor however food is disappointing though. Expected more from the price being charged. Serve bothered on small portion with no Salad nor vegetables unless ordering them as a additional side dish; Overall very pricey and below expectations

For such a great venue, the menu is fairly uninspired....... Standard breakfasts, standard lunch, and a missed opportunity to stand out from every other restaurant in the area. As always, as a vegan, there is nothing to chose from and I have to try to...put together a few side dishes to make up something I can have. Such a disappointment that in 2019 no consideration is given to a vegan option...... there isn't ONE! Every meal option has to be altered to take out the butter, the cheese, the egg, the dairy..... this leaves me feeling disrespected as a customer with my business not important. We have given the Firehouse more than 4 opportunities but won't be back and wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants anything other than stock standard fare. Many of our friends are vegetarian and vegan and this restaurant won't suit any of them. Very disappointed. Pretty pricey too!More

A cold winter’s evening this place looked very inviting, nice old building, open fires etc. turned up, no fires, barely any heating (diners were wearing coats). Noisy, no carpet, all hard surfaces, and worst of all, loud tinny pop music in every room. I don’t...know if the food was any good, we didn’t hang around long enough to find out.More

Love this Place great restaurant, Service and Food is great. I had a Chef's Special Lunch time Gluten free desert it was Delicious. Parking is OK even with the Restaurant on a Main Road.
