Good fish and chips with tasty salad, also a terrace when the weather is nice. In the past you were served, now you first have to order your food at the cash register and they will bring it to you. The food doesn't taste any less, but it does make it more like a fast food restaurant.

We enjoyed grilled Basa and Chargrilled Calamari. Delicious, and so fresh. A small serve of chips and a cauliflower, rice and chickpea salad left us feeling very satisfied.
The usual friendly quick service combined with quality ingredients has us returning to a enjoy a meal here often .

Chaotic small full to the brim on a very hot night. We were seated promptly, and ordered at the counter our meals. They arrived piping hot and very well presented within 10 minutes. There was No hicup with the meals and everyone enjoyed them.

Having enjoyed meals here several times previously I was disappointed to receive subpar food on our most recent visit. The usually crispy battered fish was soggy and chewy - across 6 pieces ordered at the table, multiple types. The chips are always average but were just bleh, basically it was all deep fried badly and all items were chewy and/or soggy. Up until six months ago, I would have (and did) recommend eating there, but now we won’t be back with so many options existing just a stones throw from the store.

I had the grilled seafood and salad dish and it was amazing. Couple of prawns, grilled fish and calamari with sweet potato wedges. I've had this three times now and will be having again. Service is also really friendly.

Always a pleasure to pop in here, the atmosphere is nice, the staff are friendly and welcoming (sadly not a given in lots of places nowadays, especially with the post-covid excuses), the portions served are generous and reasonably priced (again, pretty rare nowadays….). Not as good as UK fish n chips, but hey, it’s Australia…

well the fish was good, tasty and moist with crispy batter, however the chips were crap, double cooked for extra crunch, they were crunchy but far too oily! wont be back til the chips are edible!

We ventured out to the Eastland Shopping Centre for Boxing Day......at lunch time we selected Hunky Dory, which is situated in the upstairs open air food court right opposite of Ringwood’s train station. The service was super fast, efficient and very friendly and the generous yummy dishes tucked all our boxes. Casual dining with great indoor and outdoor seating.

If you want a quick meal, served hot, that is really yummy, this is a good choice. There is choice of seafood, method of preparation (fried, grilled) and the chips are outright delicious....I could not stop eating them. There's nothing better than sitting out in the sunshine, enjoying a fresh plate of crisp seafood with not a gull in sight!

Stopped in during a business trip and the choice of fresh seafood and salads was amazing.
Food was perfectly cooked - great value and staff were super friendly.
Definitely will visit again.

Hunky Dory Eastland is a great place for lunch on a cold winter day. Lovely seafood and hot chips or a choice of a large range of salads. Do try the salads!!
