Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not much special to talk about. I had set lunch of $11.90 with 1 meat dish and 2 vegetables choices. The Dry Mutton curry was only Fats and Bones; very unusual as goats are supposed to be very lean. Both vegetables curry, Cauliflower are very...dilute, Eggplants are very oily and small serving.More

This place is not much to look at... just a small shop with a Bain Marie full of curries & snacks. Their food however, is YUM! Recommend the eggplant curry

Tables are basic, but the food is terrific. Generous servings, top quality and low prices. Plenty of parking right at the door and within 5 minutes easy walk from Fountain gate.

Food is excellent. We go here often. While this place is not much to look at, every dish we've ordered is delicious. There is seating available but it's not a place suited for a 'classy' night out. I would recommend it for a casual nights...dinner or takeaway. Prices are cheap, food is plentiful, the tastes are amazing and the service is friendly. Try the eggplant.... yum!!More

Visited here once and the butter chicken was amazing. Went back a second time and the man serving me remembered my order by remembering my face somehow and I really liked how he paid attention to his customers when they walked in. It’s places like...this that I want to spend my money.More

This place has many different types of curries and I haven't had a bad one yet. The Roti's are made fresh onsite and worth just watching them make it! I love this place!

We went to riks mahal for dinner. We ordered chicken soup, kothu roti, tandoori chicken, chicken 65 and dosa While my kid was taking soup, she got a sharp plastic piece, seems like pieces of plastic container. We asked them about it and they said...sorry and walked away with the piece😠. No refund, no other word... The chicken 65 was too oily and around seven months back on our previous visit, we ordered a mushroom dish. That had caused stomach upset. So we were not visiting this shop for a long time. But the way they handled this shows that they have some serious trouble in controlling The food cooked. We will not visit them againMore

Was trying out this restaurant on a weekdays as we did not cook dinner and so happened around the corner. We had nasi Briyani and mee Goreng, was crowded that night service it a bit slow but the mee Goreng taste delicious. Nasi Briyani chicken...not bad as it was not that spicy. Would recommend if you are in Narre Warren. The teh tarik not so sweet so it is good 👍More

We have been there twice , and both times we were very happy with the food , service was friendly and prompt. The butter chicken and the fish masala were just amazing! The different options of tea were great as well. The Nan bread was always...soft and fresh and the chicken tikka which was our entree was also delicious and tangy. Needless to say, we will be going there again.:)More

We went here on Saturday night not sure what to expect. We had booked a table when we arrived we were told to take any table we like and handed a couple of take away menus. The eat in space is small and basic, no...alcoholic drinks or byo. But the food is excellent. A good variety of Indian Sri Lankan and Malay food with a few dishes from Singapore & Thailand. The food is very authentic and the serves generous great value for money.More

Good food in a no frills environment. I had the Nasi Lemak which I enjoyed. Clean restaurant, good service with lunch mains approximately $10. They have pre made options but I prefer cooked to order and this is available too if you are prepared to...wait 10 minutes or so. Dining in or outside is available with no aircon inside.More

Had brunch at this decent outlet just in front of Bunning's. Similar set up to most Asian restaurants here offering a wide variety of multi cultural dishes from all over South Asia. The highlight was definitely the Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai. The coconut rice...and the sambal accompanying the Nasi Lemak was top of the class, the sambal tasted quite close to the Malaysian variant. Chicken dish was superb, roti canai was fluffy and nicely made. Fish curry was not too spicy, taste was great. The teh tarik we had at the end was the perfect finisher for a heavy meal. The tea was very close to back home in Malaysia and it was not too sweet. Definitely would recommend it to my friends and family.More
