I had been to the Brunswick Mary Eats Cake but this one is much more spacious and has a lovely atmosphere. We had the Mary package at $74 a head. It had a very nice selection of savouries and cakes and unlimited tea and scones....Service began very well but became less and less attentive the longer we were there. We waited a very long time for more scones and then there wasn’t enough jam and cream. We also only had one tiny plate each for the whole service . It would have been nice to be given a clean one. A lovely place for high tea just needs a little better service.More

Great place for High Tea or lunch. We, five of us, went for a quick lunch before a musical performance in Montrose. Gorgeous decor, attentive staff---and packed! Most people seemed to be having high tea, all of which looked yummy. I'll be going back for...that soon! We chose from the Brunch menu, all delicious. I had corn fritters with a delectable salad and smoked salmon. Beautiful! They also have a range of teas for sale, and other products. I'll be going there to purchase some for presents. It's easy to find and has ample parking. You will need to book.More

Spent a wonderful afternoon indulging in High Tea with girlfriends for Christmas. Friendly staff, very helpful and attentive. Scones were absolutely delicious & they just kept coming Highly recommend for High Tea, the place is beautifully decorated and a great atmosphere

Lovely hightea without the pomp. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful, for me though there is not enough savoury items, of the four savour items two had fruit in them. (maybe I’m losing my sweet tooth!)

Right from the entrance to the departure the experience was great. Staff are superb. Very friendly and accommodating. Not to mention the plentiful of food. The high tea was just scrumptious .I'm looking forward to my next trip. Thankyou so much

Mary Eats Cake did not disappoint!! They have a huge selection of teas, the venue was super cute and cosy. Their chairs are super comfy, especially after sitting for 2 hours. Good range of flavours in the bits to eat. Desserts were incredible! And of...course the scone with jam and cream were amazing. Would recommend for any occasion.More

Lovely ambience and able to accommodate most allergies, recommend for Coeliac's and vegans that they will feel prioritised and not just that their options are from the health aisle in the supermarket some effort is made to match options to non-dietary customers.

Our high tea was a beautiful gift from my Irish mother-in-law (a special tradition for us). And boy. The quality of this food (not to mention the French champagne and selection of teas) was AMAZING. They were also so welcoming of my son Louis who...sat up with us proudly to enjoy the atmosphere. Would highly, HIGHLY recommend this place! Everything is made with so much love and care. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. We had the fancy package high tea and the sweet and savoury choices were very good. There are also many teas you can choose from and they range from English Breakfast to a coconut version and...many in-between. It's a nice place where the staff look after you but aren't overbearing. I particularly enjoyed the cheese board.More
