Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped for breakfast and couldn’t resist the pancake menu. I had the banana butterscotch version. Husband the blueberry. Both were absolutely scrumptious. The coffee too was very good and the staff friendly and obliging. Just off the highway in a small shopping complex with easy...parking. Cafe also stocks quite a range of merchandise and gift items. Highly recommend.More

My husband had the eggs benedict which was fabulous and I had the Thai chicken salad. Servings were massive, value for money, pleasant service and lovely surroundings. Will certainly be back

Great spot to have a cuppa & snack I’m always concerned when I go to a coffee place as I have to be gluten free (coeliac) but this coffee shop knew what was needed and the chai latte was delicious.

The food and coffee was quite good but the staff didn't seem to know who had ordered what, approaching sever tables asking, "Did you order ...?". After a long wait we had to ask three times about our order which came a couple of items...at a time but some in our group of four had finished what they ordered while others waited for their first item to arrive. Our third inquiry was met with, "Sorry, we forgot." Maybe our experience was one of those possibly rare occasions when this business wasn't at its best.More

Just stopped in on our way North. Sooo very glad we did! Ordered an Affogato, cappuccino, ginger slice, vege melt. The Biscoffs and the lovely service were complimentary. Lovely Cafe interior, we sat in the comfy red leather couches and relaxed while we awaited our...order. My affogato was amazing! Beautiful rich smooth cremer. Husband was really happy with his true cappuccino. So nice to see a Barister do a great job! Ginger slice was not too gingery, just what I had hoped for. Stole a bit of hubby's vege melt, looked very tempting and had great flavour. Delicious sauce/relish. Well done to the Barister and Cook at Drunk Bean. Pleasant service! So glad we stopped here! Will be sure to visit again.More

Service is always very friendly. Good selection of food and drinks. Pets allowed outside. Husband loves the green sh.. on his meals - a standard joke with staff.

Excellent restaurant. This coffee shop is in a small shopping complex with plenty of parking. Centre has a Woolworths, Missing Sick laundromat (extremely clean with washing machines up to 14kg) bottle shop, chemist and cheap homewares). We had a delicious breakfast (generous serve) and coffee....They also sell homemade pickles and jams.More

This cafe, situated near Woolworths was a pleasant find in Childers. We arrived mid morning, so we were not looking for anything major to eat, but we were impressed by the menu and would be happy to return here next time we pass through Childers....Great coffee, nice cakes and friendly, obliging staff.More

Highly recommended in all areas. Coffee is the best. Food, over the top. Pricing is exceptional and staff, just lovely polite and on the ball. The cleanliness of this establishment is impeccable. Will highly recommend to dine in.

It never fails to impress, all the more since it is physically impossible to get a decent cup in Hervey Bay!

Coffee & scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast. Very good. Coffee is excellent. So glad this cafe is dog friendly. Welcome to sit outdoors with dog on lead. Perfect. Thanks for being so hospitable.

A very busy place from the moment they open, (early) and is my go to place now for a treat. Great coffee, just how I like it. Food is very presentable and they are only too happy to alter it to suit. Lovely staff, overall...top stop in town.More

Fabulous coffee but only stop if you have time to spare. The service was painfully slow. Very apologetic but inexcusably slow. Lots of staff too. Seemed fairly disorganised behind the counter. But fabulous coffee if you are not in a rush.

We ate breakfast at The Drunk Bean on 27 Nov (turns out it was the only cafe that we could find open at 7:15 am). The coffee was excellent, the food was ok. The wife had avocado on Turkish and the avocado looked like it...was from a dip (not saying it was), it did not look like freshly smashed avo. I had the Eggs Benedict and at a cost of $22 I thought it was quite average. Taste was ok, but for that price I expected something extraordinary.More
