This is a typical pub located in an area of Western Sydney that is rising above the stigma placed on it by the rest of Sydney. The bistro of this pub is famous for its Chicken Schnitzels and they are very tasty and are moist enough to not demand a sauce accompaniment. The servings are generous and the price is... More

Always a nice place to eat. They have 20 Chicken Schnitzel varieties. Cheap $12 tradie lunch during the week. Been a few times now & have enjoyed every meal. Blackboard specials always available. Nice & safe venue. Plenty of parking & just 2 minutes from the M4

I have never really had a bad meal here ... even though I sometimes think that the meals are large so there can be some waste, but other than that food is great. They also have great "day deals". But their specialty is schnitzels.

I don't normally give negative reviews, but I was angry after visiting here. This hotel is in Sydney's far west but charge prices like a 5 star hotel in the city. Paying $13.80 for a 330ml of Jack Daniels and Cola is highway robbery to me. And they need to remind their staff (the manager actually) to give full change.... More

This place was great in the past but coming here today, we were extremely disappointed. Why? Well, there is no excuse for poor service and rubbish food. Nope, never again!

It's no wonder the staff walk around with glum faces, they are embarrassed at the prices that they have to charge and the below average food that is served. I don't know how they can brag about the schnitzel as it's the worst schnitzel I've tasted. If they want to find out what a good schnitzel is they should dine... More

The food was tasty and the children were entertained by the Playstations and activity sheets. There were high chairs available for my little one, and a kids menu. The kids' chicken dippers were pretty impressive. The adult meals were also very good. Overall, a pretty pleasant pub experience with the kids.

The tavern was overflowing with families. Lucky we pre-booked. Loved the Tradies & Ladies lunch menu (7 days a week) $12.50. Good selection. We all had more than enough to eat and everyone enjoyed their meal. 3 of us selected the best sticky date pudding we have ever tasted. Well done Pioneer Tavern. It was like a home cooked meal....
