Food on both the evening of arrival and breakfast next morning excellent. We were booked in as a coach party, travelling to Manchester from North Yorkshire. Staff coped very well with all of us. Would love to return.

Service was quite slow and was served cups of coffee with no saucers. Value for money was quite good as was food quality

Excellent service and the food was very good, better than a lot of the airport hotels we have stayed in.

Recommended to eat here, by the barman - yes, he was just doing his job. Starters of prawns and crayfish and smoked salmon nice enough. main course of veal - tough. noticed most other people were having burgers - probably best to stick to the basics.

My granddaughter and I ate here when we stayed . The starter soup was tasty ,but no bread came with it , a forgetful waiter I suspect .The main courses were well cooked , fish and chips ,and pan fried chicken ( with too much sauce swamping it ) The dessert we both had the warm waffle with ice cream...... Nice welcome - nice interior décor - pretty decent menu. I had butternut squash soup to start - very tasty. For main course I had pasta and meatballs - again, very tasty. The annoying thing was the service which took ages - ages to be asked to order - ages for starter to arrive - ages for plates to be... More

After finding a hair in my food, I spoke to a member of staff Bethany and she was very helpful and polite and immediately got the manager for me. The food was very nice however I was little put off my food after this. Service was very fast and staff were very welcoming and met our needs

The food was okay, but one member of staff ruined it for me by constantly calling me miss, which was patronising and sexist, as he called men sir. Poor wine list

The quality of food was excellent. A limited but varied menu with some interesting choices. A good range of wines were on offer but quite pricey, even for a hotel. We could not fault the service throughout the meal but sadly, when I asked for the bill, it included the meal which had already been paid for. A tad more... More
