Last weekend I happened to end up dining at Restaurant Tristan by chance, because I had not booked anywhere to dine for lunch in Horsham and the town was incredibly busy. Having eaten in nearly every restaurant in Horsham, and hearing nothing but praise and...More

Stunning food. Had the 4 course winter menu. Every single dish was perfectly balanced, with some unique and unusual flavor combinations that worked flawlessly. All this in a relaxed and non pretentious atmosphere.

Another amazing meal at Tristan's. We had the winter menu and each course was excellent. Interesting and unusual combinations of flavours that really work (scallop and cauliflower anyone?) cooked beautifully with service that was attentive but not smothering.

This was our second visit to Tristan’s and once again it did not disappoint. The 6 course menu was superb, the scallops get a special mention! Service was just right, not rushing you. Some super wine, another great experience. We will have to find another...More

The food here is great, service is excellent and the atmosphere is a lot less stuffy than in some Michelin-starred restaurants. Also, go for the wine flight with your meal as the sommelier really knows his stuff. There is much to admire about Tristan's and...More

Enjoyed our evening but as famous chef Paul Bocuse said “nothing on the plate and everything on the bill” ? We love to eat , Tristans is much more of an experience like the theatre than a restaurant. Don't get me wrong , the food...More

If I were you I’d take the carry COYS as space is quite limited in the restaurant bar area downstairs. Upstairs has more space but getting peaks upstairs would be very tricky. However it is well worth the visit.

No specific parking but plenty of public car parking close by. There are disabled parking places in town if needed.

Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.
