It is full of light, surrounded by greenery, with views of the mountains above from the sunny terrace. The vibe is very down to earth. You'll eat unique and enticing food, cooked by Chef and Owner Nicolas, well known in town from his former restaurant, which was one of Valldemossa's highest ranked restaurants for the last 5 years. Fantastic restaurant and great value for money

Es Taller is a fantastic restaurant. We have visited a lot of places over the years and become quite picky, but Es Taller far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is very affordable, but the quality of food is very high and far exceeds the price point. The dishes are delicious and of very high cooking quality. The interior gives a really nice vibe and the location in the old car workshop is unique. The staff was very friendly. Altogether a great experience and value for money.

The icing on the visit of Valldemossa

The food was delicious. Dishes give predominance to the vegetable, which does not mean that fish or meat are served in insufficient quantity. The mixture of ingredients and sauces has pleasantly surprised me. The beetroot tartare very refreshing and satisfying. The abundant, tasty and varied autumn salad. The black porc very tender. Sea bass to the point, perfect with its accompaniment of cream and vegetables. There have been two of us and the bill has not reached 50€ each. With first, second, dessert and water.

Great food, attentive and considerate service

Excellent food and service. Totally disagree with the last few reviews on service - staff were attentive, honest and considerate. We were a large table and travelling with some kids - the waiter was kind enough to ask if we wanted to order for the children as soon as we sat down and their food came quickly. We ordered most tapas on the menu and it was innovative and delicious. One of the best meals we have had here.

Great food marred by wine recommendation.

This place was recommended to us, and it was easy to understand why. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. The menu was interesting and the food was generally good. The onion gratin was truly amazing. We were however disappointed by the service of one waiter. He was very friendly, and we chatted about wine choice - asking about orange wine which we were unfamiliar with. He was a little pushy, telling us we would not like orange wine, asked if we liked white wine, and said he would recommend one for us, to which we agreed. Later we discovered he had given us a bottle over €20 more than any other white wine (or the orange wine we were asking about). Possibly our own fault for agreeing, but I thought this was quite dishonest and misleading of him. He then cleared away the bottle when there was still a little left. We didn't leave a tip, for the first time ever, and it left us feeling disappointed with the overall experience.

The restaurant was very noisy due to the concrete building itself with no/little soft finishing. I ordered a seafood main course, but it came cold and I felt more like eating a salad. My husband ordered lamb which was good. I read some good review about this restaurant, so I think we were just unlucky on the day.

Very disappointing

We had booked online several months ago but arrived to be told that we could not sit outside despite having requested that in our original booking. We were offered the alternative of a table inside in an area which resembles a cafeteria at Luton airport. This was empty apart from a family with young children who were noisy and disturbingly mobile. Not surprisingly, we declined. The terrace area was also no more than one third full but our entreaties to sit there were rebutted in a dismissive and surly manner. We would happily have accepted a time window in which to complete our meal but even this was too much trouble. We obviously can’t comment on the food but obviously have no intentions of ever returning.

Lovely Food Spoiled by terrible service

We decided to eat here because it came so highly recommended by our hotel manager, we decided to book for our final night of honeymoon. The restaurant is lovely and the deco / atmosphere was great. When we arrived a man with an iPad checked and confirmed our reservation and sat us at a lovely table. This is where the issues began. We were then ignored for 15-20 minutes, no one came to take our order not even for drinks. Then 2 separate Waiters came over only to ask us to confirm our reservation and when we asked if we could order drinks they said they would come back (they didn’t), although a lady did come back to tell us we had been seated at the wrong table and this was reserved for someone else, when we asked if she wanted us to move she said no. This made us feel super unwelcome and the service we then received was awful. My husband had to get up and asked another waiter if we could order drinks and food. The starters came relatively quickly and were good. Then the time between our starters and main arriving was over 1 hour, and in that time not one person came to check on us and asked if wanted a drink. When the mains did come we were fed up and over the whole thing so quickly ate a bit each and my husband got up and paid the bill at the bar as we just wanted to leave. The mains were nice but in no way were worth the wait time. We had been on the island for 2 weeks and ate our every night. We had 13 dinners of fantastic quality and faultless service, and I’m just so disappointed we chose this place for our final night honeymoon. As the reviews are so good for this place maybe they were just having a bad night but having eaten similar quality food with incomparably better service at so many other restaurants near by we wouldn’t risk it with a second chance.

A great spot, worthy of the 5 star reviews. The restaurant had a great atmosphere both times we visited (early evening dinner slot and a lunch slot at the end of our holiday) and the food was wonderfully cooked and served on each occasion. All came away very satisfied. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive on both visits and very happily accommodated us, graciously entertaining our little one along the way.

I cannot underscore how great this spot is. The food is original and fresh and well priced. The ambiance is modern and stunning. The service was much faster than anywhere else we went in the area. I recommend getting a handful of different dishes with friends and splitting them. We dined like queens, trying so many different dishes and still spent under $30 Euros each! Our server was from Senegal and he was especially wonderful.

The very famous restaurant was nothing but a disappointment. I will be concise. Pros. Cheap prices and good quality tomato salad. Dishes Sizes are generous. Good atmosphere ( only good) and good ingredients. Cons. Service is uncomfortably fast. Since arriving you feel you have to order your drinks and meals. Table rotation is clearly the goal here. Servers running back and forth the restaurant, not a nice spectacle, you can feel the stress. Chicken Wok was the greasiest one I have ever eaten. Attention to details is not there, not in the servers, not in the the dishes or the music. It was just an ok type of dinner, only saved by the cheap cost of it. I would for sure not recommend it or just be clear what you expect and what you will receive

Great restaurant wasn’t sure about the service. Everyone I spoke to told us to come here. It didn’t disappoint. As gluten free vegetarians are main issue was we are so used to not having choices in other restaurants we couldn’t decide what to have! Both our meals were delicious. I did find the staff a little of fish and unwelcoming which was a shame - our waiter only smiled and started being friendly when the bill was coming ! That’s why I’ve given it 4 instead of 5 stars

On a ten day holiday we had dinner 3 times . Very good restaurant with excellent staff. It’s a good idea to book. Tapas is very good as well as the main courses. What we found a good choice was start with one of the cheaper tapas and follow with a main course. Deserts quiet good as well and overall it doesn’t break the bank.

Awesome Food Worst service!!! Staff was plainly rude and not welcoming at all! Out of 5 tapas 1 never arrived, drinks were simply forgotten we stairs with water … The unfriendliness spoiled the whole evening ;-(

Nice restaurant a little out of the downtown

This is a great restaurant. You should make a reservation as soon as possible as they fill up quickly. We went two nights since we enjoyed it so much. There are lots of vegetarian options and most dishes can be made into vegetarian if you ask. Because it was a auto garage the acoustics are fairly terrible so you might want to ask for a table near the window. They had very inventive cocktails and a great wine list.

This was recommended to us, so I'm glad it was. Located near the bus stop in Valldemossa, Es Taller is a modern space restaurant serving tapas or regular meals. Fabulous relaxed service based on a QR code menu, so don't forget your smartphone. We ate pork with creamy, almost risotto like rice as a starter and chicken pastelas. The main was black iberian pork with noodles as a main all washed down with great rioja and local rosè. We couldn't manage dessert as we were so full. Great value for money, too. It was a great night with great food.
