I arranged dinner at this restaurant for 25 people for a dinner after a business meeting. The restaurant were very accommodating and opened early for us as I had a range of nationalities to cater for some of which are not used to eating as late as they do in Europe. The restaurant also allowed me to mix and match... More

I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant located in the old town. Food was excellent, freshly baked bread and olive oil for dipping, pre-heated plates, excellent attentive service and tasty food. Starter was Gazpacho, a dish usually avoided outside home because you never know what they might throw in there but you could taste it was freshly made and... More

This is by far and away the best restaurant in Mijas. My wife and I ate here on a Saturday in a cold spell and found a gem of a restaurant. The log fire was warming and the food was excellent. We shared a prawn pill pill for starters( beware they also give you croquettes to start and a huge... More

The Square is under going renovation, so as it also now Winter we were directed to an internal room with a wonderful log fire. The whole family was there which was wonderful to be greeted again by them, the continuity makes it so lovely. Today my husband had the snails as his starter but they were a little small, what... Off the beaten track , up the hill a short walk by the bull ring - completely worth the walk As Gordon Ramsay says , don't eat at restaurants that have pictures of their food ! If you want the pizza & chips restaurants they are in the square Family run traditional Spanish place , everything we ordered was excellent... More

This is a family run restaurant serving delicious, Spanish food on the main square in Mijas Pueblo. We visited in early January and sat inside at the roaring log fire. The portions are large.

Having read the reviews we decided we would book up and were we glad we did so. We arrived at 8:00pm for our evening meal and were shown to our table at the front of the terrace overlooking the Plaza De Le Constitucion. Perfect for people watching! Everything about the place was fabulous, from the very knowledgeable staff, who though... More

Very cozy with furnace. Feels like you are in someones home. Good service and interesting menu. Large winelist. I had avacado and prawns as a starter followed by an excellent sole. Good relation between price and quality. Strongly recommend!

What a gem, a family run traditional restaurant, lovely staff, terrific food and wine. Not cheap but well worth the money. If you love good Spanish food this is the place to go. We went on a Sunday lunch time and it was full with Spanish family groups, can get noisey but a great atmosphere. Recommend it if you are... More

The cuisine is from the north of Spain - very traditional and a welcome to the pallet. Family orientated business and unfortunately the service is often carried out without the smile (unless you speak first) If the ice is broken and time is permitted the welcome becomes more and more apparent and usually terminates with an after meal free drink... El Mirlo Blanco is located in a delightful setting in a traditional whitewashed building typical of the Malaga region in the centre of Mijas. The restaurant can seat 60 diners in two dining rooms that feature wonderful open fireplaces, although in the warmer months diners can eat on the terrace with its splendid views over the town and the nearby mountains. The restaurant offers traditional Basque cooking using the finest seasonal ingredients. Its extensive menu changes with the seasons with specialities that include beef stew, baby squid or excellent cod, among many others. There is also a long list of wines and spirits. El Mirlo Blanco is a great choice at any time of year, whether you choose to sit by the fire on cold days or on its wonderful terrace in summer.
