Located in a residential suburb in Oliveira do Douro, a stone's throw from the high-school, this restaurant was founded by an Italian, around 25 years ago. They are specialized in pizzas (Neapolitan-style) and pastas but also prepare traditional portuguese dishes like "francesinhas". On a week...evening, we ordered pizzas - Funghi and Sorrentina - and were pleasantly surprised: thick dough, and generous toppings. Although we prefer Roman-style pizzas, we really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients, the nice acidity of the tomato base and the creaminess of the cheese. Service was very friendly. This is a traditional italian restaurant in Gaia. We had a very good risotto, an average pizza and a poor "Francesinha". Desserts were disapointing (tiramisu was frozen and was micro-wave heaten) and crepe was the saddest thing I ever saw. Also the decor should be...changed, specially for those eating in the balcony.
