I don't like Italian food to much but a friend of me took me to this restaurant. The restaurant is next to the beach with a nice view. I had a Pasta with Shrimps and a cheese Cake as dessert. Quantity of the main dish...was normal. Quality of the food was good. Service was well. The restaurant is not expensive. I believe I paid 30€ for two main courses, one dessert and two cola zero.More

When we walked up to the restaurant, it was starting to rain so we asked if we could sit inside. They said it is reservation only so we sat with our party half under the umbrella and half out. We ordered 1.5 liter Sangria and...then the wait staff asked if we wanted to sit upstairs. We waited about 30 minutes before anyone took our order. The food came out quickly and the views were incredible but the service was very slow and nearly unwilling to serve. Food was OK.More

As an avid trip advisor user I am normally skeptical about places with 3 stars but this place deserves more! We had limited choices on places to eat so thought we would try it anyway and weren’t disappointed! Our waiter was such a lovely guy...and couldn’t have done more for us. Meals were nice; even the small pizzas we ended up taking home in a box. Ice cream was great to finish too!More

Wow, what a service, what a tasty food, seating on the balcony. Did not have soups, we missed always in Portugal. But go back here anytime. 33 CAN$ for 2

Traditionally we always play it safe on the last night for something to eat. Thats not to say we dont look for a good place though to eat and San Martino on the Gaia river side was just that. I went for the Mezzura pizza...which was ham, pepperoni, beef and veal which was a great combination and vey well cooked with lots of taste. My wife went for a spag bol but again it was flavoursome and very good. Service was quick and the staff friendly. The rest of the menu looked great and largely italian pizza, pasta based but also some fish and local dishes. Worth a visit.More

Walked along the front and chose this place. We were glad for the food, not so much for the service. Waited to be seen originally, our order was not put through to the kitchen and waited to pay for far too long. Shame really

We had some great pizzas here whilst waiting for our Sandeman port tour, just 100 metres away. My Pizza Prestige was chock-a-block full of seafood; clams, prawns, huge crevettes, octopus.... it was wonderful. The wine was great too, although not served in an ice bucket....Fortunately the weather kept it cool. A little more expensive than some other places, but the quality of the food made up for it.More

Ok, so firstly, the other reviews are pretty accurate about this being an expensive restaurant compared to other local places in Porto. It does have a lovely view of the ribeira if you're sitting outside and I'm sure it faces a lot of competition from...places around. The pasta is simply delicious!! We tried the pizza too, which was good, but the pasta won! It was served al dente, warm and the sauce was perfectly spiced. Tried a few pasta dishes on the menu and loved them all. The staff is very friendly too. We will most definitely go to this place - first thing when we are back in Porto!More

If you are in Porto, you can have fantastic joy from the food almost everywhere. BUT not in this restaurant. Lasagna is horrible ( with ham inside!! and lot of dough). Price 9€!!!! Note- you can eat great Lasagna for 6€. Drinks taste like before...staff put half water in it. Chairs are torn, plates with broken edges. And all this with quit high Princes if you compare with other places. Photo in attachment.More
