A go to for us when family or friends were visiting, consistently good food and great service. Go on your birthday and get a free pint glass

I had dined at Freemason Abbey several years ago and did so again last week while visiting the area. Overall, the food and service were just average and lacked a quality that would make the dining experience exceptional. The starter salad was very crisp and fresh and the dressing excellent. The warm sourdough rolls were very good. My entree of... More

They have a $35.00 dinner special on. Three course meal. Good mix of different foods to try. The warmed buns are melting in your mouth . This location is an old church. Easy walking from downtown.I would eat at this location again.

Our server Haze was the most professional server we've had in awhile, the restaurant itself is gorgeous and very unique, and the Mahi Mahi was crazy good, as well as the Bourbon Beef. The fish was cooked to perfection (moist and not overcooked). The flavors blended together so wonderfully, after some skepticism thinking that a lemon cream sauce might not... More

Freemason Abbey has been in business for years and I haven't been there for some time. The inside is charming with a good deal of ambience that you would expect from an old church. It's Restaurant Week in Norfolk and I went with friends tonight. The food was good but not spectacular. I ordered from the menu and not one... More

Nice ambience great place to go as a couple. Food is rxcellent. It can be a bit pricey. Not your every day family restaurant. This is a special evening type place. Also great to take clients if you are wanting to make an impression.

We ate here on the recommendation of George, the host at our hotel, and we were so glad we did. The interior is packed with interesting items to look at and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waitress showed us the album that shows the development of the restaurant from it's origins as a church through to today. The... More

Wow! This restaurant was incredible. From the outside to the inside it was amazing. I loved the fact that it was built out of an old church. The inside is very rustic and almost colonial. The day that my family went it was half priced certain alcoholic beverages. Now for the food. First off I hate fried green tomatoes, but... More
