La Casereccia was recommended by our host; I don't know that we would have found it without him, it's a bit off the beaten path, which made it especially nice. The food was well done and fairly priced, and we enjoyed a great bottle of...More

Excellent home made Italian food and great service. Very kind and helpful staff that arrange pick up at the hotel to the restaurant, and back. The starters were the best, and the portions very big. A family/child friendly restaurant. If you are going to Ischia...More

Second time staying in Ischia, and second time staying at the family's hotel, Poggio del Sole, up the hill. This restaurant is the best in Ischia, every time we ventured out for a meal, we would always compare it to Carereccia. Nothing compares to this...More

Located in Forio, La Casereccia is a family-run establishment that caters for all kinds of visitors including families with children. This is a restaurant that's very popular with locals, offering genuine home cooked food and using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Most of the vegetables come from the restaurant's own garden where they also produce red and white wine. The menu at La Casereccia varies according to what is in season at the time, but specialities are fish, pasta and pizzas made in their wood oven while ff you fancy something a bit different, try the pasta with lemon which is delicious. There are two main dining areas, one is a large indoor dining room with dozens of tables and a television in one corner while a glass conservatory area is nice and warm during the winter months. However during the summer the best place to eat is outside on the terrace.
