Driving the Amalfi coast from Sorrento to Positano today we decided to escape the madness and headed inland to Agerola. Desperate for some lunch we stumbled upon this little gem. A family restaurant offering a lovely selection of meals. We were offered local bread lemon to try - a local specialty. We had a dish of tomatoes and local mozzarella... More

We stopped here driving back down to the Amalfi Coast because it was time for dinner late on a Sunday evening. We were hoping for casual ambience with good fare and Da Nicola far exceeded expectations. Gilda runs the place and could not have been more friendly. We laughed. We watched them shape the pizza dough. We dined. The pizzas... More

Lost in a small town late on a Sunday night after buses had finished, we were saved by Gilda the manageress who arranged a taxi to take us back to our hotel in Sorrento and made us feel so welcome. The inner man was satisfied with a superb pasta. No praise high enough and the pizzeria deserves to succeed. Thank... More

There's two elements to an enjoyable eating experience: good food and lovely people to look after you. This place has both in abundance. Husband had the seafood pizza which he said was delicious. I had carbonara. Also delicious. The sister and brother that served our food were charming, kind and welcoming. I recommend you stop here if you are in... More

Car nearly run out of fuel and tuned of main road to fill up and unexpectedly came across this restaurant. Had a wonderful lunch, very cheap. Staff very helpful and unexpectedly spoke English.

The service was absolutely incredible! We stopped here on our way to Furore, and Nicola went out of her way to inform me what I could eat (gluten allergy). She also offered to bring a fresh tomato salad which was delicious. We asked about our air B&B, to which she pulled out her phone and called the owner herself. She... More

Great customer service. We were lost, hungry and apparently too early but they were really nice and did let us in. Mamma wasnt ready with everything but we got scammorza and pasta. Lovely home made food, really customer focused operation run by a family. Can not be better than that. We were glad to find them. Doesn't look impressive from the... More

We stopped in after a long day of sightseeing. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious authentic food and reasonable prices. The service was great and the owner helped us pick some amazing appetizers.

Our last night in Agerola and we decided to visit Da Nicola due to its close proximity. We are glad we visited this place. Everyone was very nice and treated us really well. The food was also very good especially the chilly. We even asked them to pack some chillies for us. Highly Recommended.

We had heard about this restaurant from a woman we met in Positano, who was from Agerola. We asked her to recommend a typical, local restaurant. So, it became part of our quest to make it to Da Nicola, to meet the owner, Gilda, and to eat the local food. We went for lunch, with no reservation and were seated... More
