It was a Wednesday when we walked into Bacharach excited that we had finally made it to the area. Excitement soon led to dismay when we found out that everything seemed to be closed..because it was Wednesday!! But we had found rusticana...what a lovely surprise. Its a smallish but very cosy restaurant. . The owners were very welcoming and the... More

The house wine was very nice, and the proprietress very friendly and engaging. The food wasn't much to write home about, though.

The restaurant is a nice place, 100% german, Also the owners are very kind. And the meals are very tasty, the apple pie, the deer, all of it housemade. If you are looking for an original german restaurant in Renania-Palatinado, that´s your place.

We ate here twice and everything we had was wonderful. We had trout and meatloaf on one visit and weinersnitchel and stuffed peppers the next. Ask about the soup of the day. and the decorations. Great stories for both.

While the food was delicious and the atmosphere was charming, it's the owner of this restaurant that truly sets it apart. Astrid was so warm and inviting, beckoning us inside on a frigid winter day and then offering perfect suggestions for lunch and cake. Her English was so good I started to wonder if she was English ... and just... More

We stumbled upon this cosy restaurant while strolling through Bacharach, looking for dinner. We ordered meatloaf and schnitzel. For only 10 euros we received soup, a salad and a lovely dinner. The meatloaf was the best I have ever had! Afterwards we ordered dessert and this was a feast for the mouth as well! Furthermore, the service was very fast... More

Very welcoming place tot stop for lunch on a hiking trip. I had a homemade vegetarian warm lunch and the homemade apfelstrudel. It is a small friendly place. Nice chat with the owner.

We happened upon this quaint little restaurant by roaming through the town. Upon entering, my eyes spied two trays of fresh apple strudel. My dessert decision was immediately made before I even sat down. I had the stuffed pepper with mashed potatoes and it was very good. It also came with a salad and very delicious homemade soup for an... More

We ate lunch in the charming outdoor space. The good was traditional German and we ended the meal with an outstanding strudel.
