I have eaten Thai food many times on my 18 trips to Thailand but The Souk is my favourite. The setting is beautiful and romantic. The service from Ed and Oh the Thai hosts is fantastic and they both speak good English. Some of my favourites were the sun dried baby squid, the red thai curry and the fresh fish... More

We had dinner several times at Eddy's restaurant as we stayed in one of his lovely Bungalows. It was just great! The Barracuda (special meal of the day) was crispy - my wife voted this meal to her "absolute top 10 ever fish meals". I preferred the more western style like "Chicken Mafia" and was just as happy. It's not... More

Eddy’s sophisticated and delicious cuisine is a treat to gourmets' palate ! The reputation of Eddy’s cuisine goes well beyond Thailand’s borders as he is regularly invited by customers to come to Europe in order to give cooking lessons ! To us, The Souk is by far the best restaurant of the island.

Whilst we were having lunch a local fisherman fishing in the bay pulled in with his catch and sold it to Eddie the owner. We then returned in the evening and had the catch of the day served in whatever way we wanted, I had my fish steamed in thai herbs and it was delicious. Nothing is too much trouble... More

We went to this restaurant on our last night and realised what a mistake that was, we should have gone much earlier. The location is stunning, the staff/owners were lovely and the food was excellent. It's such a laid back location and even though we wished we'd gone earlier, it was a great way to finish the holiday. The frogs... More

Had quite a few meals between us all and they were very tasty. We had fish dishes and Thai curries and the seafood rice pot. There was a lot of squid in it but we did enjoy it. Not keen on the Indian style curry dish. Good selection of meals and drinks. Beautiful setting over looking the sea with the... More
