A must do if in Lynchburg. This is a local favorite. The waitress is always entertaining and the food always great. The cheesy western and the loaded hotdogs are awesome. A favorite is also a bowl of chili. During breakfast hours the sausage sandwich is good. You can also order a hot all the way add bacon and cheese!! It... More

We used to drive here from Blacksburg 'cuz the dogs were sooo good. Back then it was dogs and chili. You could get chili with, or chili without. That was 45 years ago! Now they have a few other things on the menu. It is a real popular place with the working locals. No fancy clothes and no fancy decoration...just... More

My brother, who lives in Lynchburg, took my family and me to this little local spot on our recent trip to Lynchburg. I'm so glad he did! At first I was a bit confused with all of the unusual menu names, but my brother was luckily able to steer me in the right direction. I will note that the staff... More

This little gem is a step back in time to the great food and fun of a small town diner. I loved sitting at the red counter, there are no tables.....the orders are yelled to the cook as you order and presented back to you pretty quickly. I had the Western Special which is a delicious burger with homemade relish... More

I thought I"d finished this review a month ago. It turns out it's been sitting in my drafts folder. That pretty much sums up the way I felt after eating there. This was a restaurant, and I use that term generously, that two of our friends enthusiastically suggested. They were enthusiastic about the character of the place. One friend had... More

An icon in the city, seating a 1000 people, 15 at a time. Order the Cheezy all the way, a bowl all the way, and a slice of sweet potato pie.

I love the idea of this place but I can barely stomach the food. A lot of people go here so there must be something good about it. I am not much of a meat eater so that may have something to do with my feelings. The waitress was sweet and it was fun to sit at the old fashioned... More

I have loved going here since my grandfather took me 40 years ago. I love the hot dog with chili while my mom goes for the "hot all the way" (chili and relish). My brother loves the cheesy western. I think he could eat 10 of them! A must stop when I am in town.

Now, let's be clear. This is a diner. But if you are looking for a diner experience I cannot think of a better place. This place had been here for a long time and it give it the old time diner feel. Must have a Cheesy Western and a Hot Dog all the way. Comes with a friendly but sassy... More

A throw back to the 50's. A very basic place with no frills and limited menu. I love, love, love Hot Dogs and they did not disappoint!
