Overall good food. The guacamole looks like pea baby food. Doesn't taste right either. Service is pretty good here so overall not terrible.

If you visit El Nopal you have the chance of an excellent visit or a completely disappointing visit. Today the food was excellent service was great and overall the visit was great. That is not always the case. I keep coming back.
Skip the margaritas. I got the lime margarita, which I thought would be a traditional margarita. Instead it came out a weird lime color, no taste of real lime, and quite weak. Food is at best ok -- not awful, but not good.
I have eaten here more then a dozen times, used to be a good Mexican restaurant. Now you'd do better going to Taco Bell. We visited this restaurant when we were staying at the near-by Stay Over Suites. The food was excellent, one of the best Mexican meals I have ever had and we eat Mexican food quite often. Service was good and the food came out piping hot. Would we eat here again if we are in the area? Absolutely!!

We went there quite late in the evening, but the staff was friendly with us and they served us really authentic mexican Food which was tasty. We would always come back!
