This place is unfortunately not going to serve up as good or creative a diner fare as Silver Diner, which by the way has become excellent. We all felt that way. But, the people here are true Americans and good people who support Vets and give back to the community and that alone makes it worth patronizing.

Its a diner. Nothing more nothing less. Its a good diner. It does diner food. Good, tasty, hot and with great genuinely friendly service. They also collect for the Vets and even let us sign one of their flags for the wall. Honoured!

This is an old time diner that will take you back in time with its look and feel. The breakfast meal I had was very good. Some of the sandwiches and burgers I saw others eating looked awesome.

Went here tonight after walking down from our hotel. Our waitress was second to none, very personable, took the time to interact with my 6 year old and make his night special. She made great food recommendations, especially on their bbq and smoked meats. I ended up getting the open faced hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy.... More

It's a historic diner, the real deal, and the service is nice, the place is clean, and the RIBS actually are quite good (There is a smoker right out front of the place). But it is a DINER and it serves diner food, so when you read some of the bad reviews just keep that in mind. The reason we... More

Best pan gravey I've had in years and so much food our boy child couldn't even finish his breakfast.

Ordered a sausage omelet platter. The eggs were a little runny but I didn't send it back. The coffee was OK but pricey at $ 2.35. Also the omelet platter was a little pricey at $ 10.92. I guess the 50's quaint atmosphere is the real selling point.

The 29 Diner is an unpretentious humble place that serves gigantic portions of real food with warm friendly service. This diner is actually on the Historic Registry and is a true slice of Americana. It serves up breakfast all day, and is open 24 hours, except for a brief closing on some weekday. The waitresses are super, attentive, warm, quick... More

I'd skip this place if you are looking for good food. We were turned off by the smell of old grease the minute we walked in. I had a bbq beef sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and my boyfriend had a burger with fries. The bbq and burger were just okay, the mac and cheese pretty tasteless,... More

Had dinner here one night, the service was great and the place is spotless. Everything is made from scratch except the fries.
