I was at Harrods in London for "afternoon tea." A hearty display of fancy cakes & candies. It was lovely but it lacked the LOVE that this little tea room puts into every beautifully presented, delicious bite. Make your reservations. This little gem fills up quickly. P.S. Legendary scones, coveted by Chincoteague locals.

My friend and I had afternoon tea which consisted of three courses. We did not have a choice of what kind of tea which is unusual in my experience. But it was delicious. We had only two kinds of sandwiches which were tasty. Then 3 kinds of scones and a choice of 2 desserts. The ginger scone was very good... More

You don't want to miss having tea at Channel Bass Inn. Barbara and David are a delight and so is the four course high tea. Sandwiches, homemade scones and desert. Plus tea. You won't need to eat again for hours.

My family has visited Chincoteague 7-8 times and always make time for tea at the Channel Bass Inn. The tea is always hot and delicious and the 4 courses of food leave you happy and well fed. Best ginger scones in the world with a lesson on how to eat them included!

Delicious food and great service. All homemade treats, a variety of sandwiches, scones with jams and chocolate trifle to round out the menu. Looking forward to our next visit.

Probably the best tea I have ever attended. Homemade tea sandwiches such as cucumber and cream cheese, smoked salmon spread and goat cheese and fresh tomato, all on wonderful sandwich bread (yes with crusts removed). Next come homemade scones, dense, flavorful and fresh from the onion. Fresh butter, several jams and real whipped cream, oh my. And wait, then there... More

Loved this inn. Room was beautifully appointed and Barbara is the best. You feel like you are staying with family. Grounds are beautiful and Barbara's homemade breakfasts are fabulous! Hope to go back soon. Location is right at the heart of things.

Lovely hosts and a beautiful establishment, inside and out. A "must" place to stay. When combined with the beautiful natural environment of the sea shore and wildlife refuge a visit to Chincoteague Island and Assateague beach has to be on one's "bucket list".
