Great smaller spot in a great location: in between wineries and Monticello. Parking is a little limited, sits on an award corner. Great local place with good food. We were happy and my wife thanked me for finding a great place.

Not sure if this place is located in the middle of nowhere, or the middle of everywhere, but it is worth finding. We originally planned to got to Jefferson Vineyards (visible from this deli), but ended up taking our food to Monticello instead. This place is located at an odd 3-way intersection, in a small little old stone building, with... More

Stopped by for a picnic lunch. The ham, Brie, chutney sandwich was delicious. They do not open before 12 on Sunday. There was a line waiting to get in. They were efficient getting the food made. You must have cash. No charges accepted. There are tables in and outside and they will deliver your food to you.

This quaint deli is located near Monticello. It is tiny, but serves some very artful and delicious sandwiches. They also have some local items for sale. I purchased honey from a local farm. The service is friendly and welcoming.

My wife and I and another couple were on a trip to James Monroe's house, Ashlawn/Highland. We had passed up eating lunch earlier at Montpelier because our B and B served a great breakfast and we were still pretty full. It could've been a problem, because as we got closer to our tour there were less spots available to eat,... More

Serves tasty in-house prepared sandwiches and lunch fare in an old converted gas station located on Rte 53, known by locals as 'the back way' to Monticello.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Monticello. Got a couple of great sandwiches and was able to get gluten free bread and a fantastic gluten free cookie. They have not only gluten free options but also, vegetarian options. We had wanted to get our sandwiches to go and eat them at a winery close by but unfortunately the day we... More

I could've done without the snobby lady with short hair at the counter saying in a snappy way "Everyone loves my grilled cheese" when I asked her what cheese it's made with. Apparently, it's top secret. Look lady, not trying to steal your secret recipe, I swear. But 12 y/o kids do not have the same acquired taste buds as... More

In this converted gas station you are definitely going to find a sandwich to suit your tastes. We stopped here today and my husband had a chicken salad sandwich and I had the vegan tofu sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious, filling and reasonably priced. You will get quick service with smile. This is a gem of a place!
