Bellair Market has some of the best sandwiches in town. Order one of their specials like the Farmington, the Birdwood, or my favorite, the Belmont. They use Boars Head meats and the breads are fresh and tasty. While you are waiting for your sandwich, check out the deli takeout selection of salads, entrees and desserts. There is even a Mudhouse... More

Great selection of sandwiches with high quality meat. Additional deli and bakery items available as well as good drink selection. Expect a line at lunch time!

Great place to stop when I'm in a hurry and need to pick up something quick. Sandwiches are made-to-order or you can grab tasty pre-made meals from the deli. Lots of options and also features a full-service Mudhouse Coffee bar.

I love the sandwich menu and the prepared food. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I know people love the mudhouse counter inside. There can be a considerable wait for lunch or on nice days when people want to grab some sandwiches before tubing or picnicking. It's a little pricier than it could be, but so tasty.

This is a hidden gem in Charlottesville. Unless someone recommends this restaurant to you, or you stop by the gas station to eat randomly you would not know about this place and it is a good place to know. Bellair Market offers a wide variety of gourmet sandwiches. All of the ones I have tried are very good, not the... More

Time tested sandwiches. Lines can be long. Ingredients are fresh as is their wonderful fresh french loaf.

OK, it's a gas station. Or maybe it's just attached to one; I don't know. But you walk inside and it looks like a country store; one that serves some great food, including all kinds of sandwiches, both traditional and imaginative. I was in C'ville about 12 years ago, and when I heard I was going back, this is the... More

Sandwiches are amazing! They offer lots of options or you can create your own. The line gets long around lunchtime on weekends but is worth the wait. When I was a student, the Monticello was my favorite, and since then, they've done away with it, which makes me sad, so I have to order it as a "create-your-own" :(

This is the best place in Charlottesville to get a sandwich to go. They have an extensive menu of great sandwiches or will custom build. I always go her to get a hearty sandwich to put in my day pack before heading to theBlue Ridge Mountains for a hike. Great selection of chips and cookies too! Those in the know... More

Stopped on for a quick bite on a sunny Saturday around lunchtime. Apparently everyone else had the same idea because the place was packed! Even though it was a long line, it went quickly and the sandwich was delicious! Definitely a place to remember!!
