I live in Charlottesville and have never stayed at the Inn at Court Square, but I have eaten lunch there many times. Lunch is served in two living-room like rooms, with round tables far enough apart to encourage private conversation. The food is excellent and (for its quality) cheap. The Market Street parking garage is three short blocks away. Recommended

We have stayed at Inn at Court Square a few times, and every visit is special. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, but what we look forward to most is the breakfast. The quiche is so light and flaky, we love it! Cheers to Candace and her team!

One of the oldest buildings in Charlottesville. Call ahead for reservation. They are always making the routine into something special. Limited menu for lunches. Pork sandwich for lunch was great- $12. They make their own breads, and are happy to bring you seconds. Hope you get the Apricot! Try the Strawberry lemonade. They let you wander to the rooms to... We decided to try this on a Friday afternoon. When we entered, we were asked if we had a reservation (mind you, there was no one there and we both got the impression that that is what they want since it was repeated more than once.) That being said, we chose a table in the corner by the fireplace and... More

My partner and I planned a last minute getaway and stayed here for the night! It was such a relaxing, convenient and clean experience. The owners bought the house back in 1999 and transformed what was then law offices into this beautiful historic home that was originally built in the late 1700's. House is clean, host was very hospitable, food... More

I absolutely love this place. It is my go to spot if I want to catch up with a friend, have a quiet lunch with a group and show off Charlottesville. As I write this I question myself because I don't like sharing really cool local spots, That being said I love supporting local businesses. I have never stayed here... More

Today we had another delicious lunch at the historic Inn at Court Square, our favorite place to eat or spend the night in Charlottesville, Va. The Inn, built in 1785 and faithfully restored by its present owner, Candace DeLoach, was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was easy to believe we had just stepped back in time, seated in a cozy... More

This little B&B offers beautifully decorated accommodations with antiques and modern blend, uniqueness in each room and a fabulous restaurant. They are safe walking distance from the historic downtown mall, close to art museums and close to Charlottesville Pavilion concert venue.Highly recommend for a get-away midweek or weekend.

Really a great place to have lunch with a friend that is out of the way, and oh so delicious. I came across it by accident just walking by and now it is a favorite for sure. I live far away but I visit every so often. I will put this little gem on my route every time.

As a "local", I've been remiss in lunching here in goodness knows how long. Well, no longer! Twice entertained out of town chums (Germany + England) this Spring:- all (v well travelled and "foodies"!) were universally delighted with the Food, Service, Wine/Beer selection and overall charm/ambience.

It is already listed under "B&B/Inns," but it should also have a separate restaurant listing. We just ate an outstanding meal there. Thanks, Larry
