We really enjoyed the atmosphere and service was great! I would recommend the fried oyster and the blackened fish tacos.

The Shanty is right on water, and is much like many beachy casual type seafood restaurants. They were busy. People seemed to be enjoying the food. It was not my favorite, but have heard others rave about it. The margarita was very sweet and syrupy, so if that is your drink preference, you are set. It was not for me.... More
Apart from the fantastic view from this restaurant, the staff are fun and helpful and the menu is interesting and varied. Great atmosphere for a fun night out.
The staff a good were wonderful. Great atmosphere for a family dinner by the sunset. I was jealous of everyone's food order at the table even thoughI really enjoyed my wrap. The prices were very reasonable for the flavor and service provided.
The food and service were great! Some of the best Hush Puppies my husband and I have had ( and he grew up in NC ). The Cod and Chips were done very well! My Steamers were local and so good, they had a nice briny finish, and not over steamed. The Key Lime pie, meh. The servers where so... More
My nearby hotel recommended The Shanty. Atmosphere is sand in your shoes beach hut. Food is several steps above that! It's crab season - so I was told - and I enjoyed a wonderful crab cake sandwich. With a side of cranberry spinach - try it before you wrinkle up your nose. Very good. Service was slow to get started... More

Seriously delicious food. Fun bar /beachy atmosphere. Food is reminiscent of true Baltimore seafood with a "gourmet" nuance. I had the Meyer lemon salad with grilled shrimp- not a Morse left I the plate. Hubby had the shrimp Po Boy- he says "excellent" perfectly fried shrimp, very lightly breaded. Nice soft roll. We will be back!!
