We got to sit in front of a wood-burning stove to eat our dinner- tomato soup, grilled cheese, and smashed potatoes. Dessert was comfort food reminiscent of school lunches from childhood- vanilla pudding, homemade 'nilla wafers and bananas with whipped cream. The soup and potatoes...More

The best tomato soup I’ve ever tasted. Macaroni and cheese was delicious. This restaurant takes ramen to a new level. Service was very good. We were there on a Wednesday. Gets crowded on weekends, but worth it.

This restaurant is just a bit too rustic for my taste, especially in a facility that bills itself as a boutique hotel.

Picnic Social is closed for a temporary hiatus from April 15-early fall 2018. Located inside the recently renovated Field Guide hotel, Picnic Social is Stowe VT’s newest dining and drinking establishment. Simple, fresh, delicious, and sharable — the food at Picnic Social reflects the restaurant’s casual vibe and communal experience: juicy burgers and sharp-cheddar grilled cheese; sharable (and single portion) toasts, seasonal sides and salads, and much more.
