This small cafe is a one-woman show, and she is quite talented. Her bagels are the best you will ever have and all of her baked goods are quite yummy. Her menu is simple but whatever the special is, guaranteed to be delicious. Sunday brunch is the best you will find with fabulous music. At night pizzas are flying and... More

Heather is one of the best bakers around. The bread, pizza and desserts are fresh and unique, using locally sourced ingredients. On busy Wednesday and Friday nights seating can be challenging since there is usually great live music.

Picked up a pizza to go. People are super nice. Pizza was ready on time, was decent. I would go for it if you are in the area. I will return.

A Vermont friend recommended The Wild Fern while I was visiting, knowing I am into good food and good music. What a gem! I was welcomed by Heather Lynne, proprietress extraordinaire, with a genuine smile and grace. Found a cozy table in the corner, next to a young couple with a toddler. They were chatty and so cute. Enjoyed a... More

I asked the proprietor of Wild Fern how she made her pizza crust so delicious. Her reply was, "I baked lots of love into it." Well if that's what made it the best crust around, then who am I to quibble? This is a great little cafe with an intimate atmosphere, and the frequent appearance of top notch musicians here... More

This is a sweet place, with sweet folks who can really cook. It's just like being at home - if your home has lots of fresh, local ingredients - and your family is musically inclined. All the dishes are excellent and prepared with love by Heather. Mia is the sweet young woman who greets you, you'll feel very at ease... More

The minute we walked in and saw Heather's wide grin, we knew we were "home." She makes all her food from scratch using locally sourced products? YEP. She pours love into every recipe? YEP. She makes you feel like you are going to be well cared for even if she is out-of-her-mind busy? YEP. The pizza was delicious. I mean... More

Our friend found The Wild Fern on tripadvisor when we were heading home from a New Year's stay at Sugarbush. What a find! Don't let the exterior scare you away. The inside is so charming and homey. The owner, Heather, is fantastic. She makes everything from scratch - doughnuts, bagels, croissants. All her ingredients are purchased locally and you can... More
